Luke was eating breakfast when I sat next to him.He looked at me for a while and swallowed the food in his throat.
"Good morning." He said.
''Morning." I replied slowly.
"Are you fine?" He asked.I nodded and ate the food.
He didn't ask anything else.He ate his breakfast and stood up from the table.
I studied every action of his.He walked towards the couch and wore his coat.He straightened his shoulder and ran his fingers through his hair.
When he saw me looking at him,I immediately looked down.
"Do you want something?" He asked.
"No." I said and bit my lower lip.
"Do you like flowers?" He asked.
"Yes." I whispered,yet confused by his question.
He smiled at me and left the house.
I completed my breakfast and walked around the house.I need to find out what happened before I joined them.
I grabbed my phone and dialed General Walker's number.
"General Walker?" I asked.
"Lucia?"
"How could you not tell me that Luke's father was one of us?" I asked angrily.
"Lucia, it's just that I didn't think it was important." He said.
"General,yet this is the reason why I am trapped here!" I said.
"Leave it, Lucia.It's the past." He said.
"What was the deal between Luke and Alex?" I asked.
"What deal? I don't know." He replied.It was clear that he was lying.
"General,why did you betray Robert Vernon?" I asked in a trembling voice.
"What are you talking about?" He asked.
"He told me that you caused the death of his sister." I said.
"Lucia,he must be lying to you." He said calmly.
"No,he isn't lying to me.You are lying to me!" I burst into tears.
"He is manipulating you,Lucia.Isn't it obvious? He killed Alex." He said and I stopped right there.
No one could change the fact that he killed Alex.When General Walker said that Luke must be manipulating me,It all made sense.The reason why cared for me,the reason why he is so kind and caring towards me.
My eyes welled up with tears when I thought of the time he kissed me so passionately.
It all must be a part of his ploy.
