"Boss he was Vasili Makarov's man.We have researched his background." A man came to Luke and said.
"Teach him a lesson that he won't ever forget and as for Vasili,I will take care of him." Luke replied in a low tone.
"Boss,I promise it will never happen again." The man said as his voice trembled.
"I could've been dead,goddamn it!" He said as he slapped the table loudly."Leave!" Luke ordered and the man ran away
I flinched in fear and bit my lips.
"Why did you save my life? I thought you were planning to get revenge on me." He said with a smirk.I didn't answer because truth be told,I didn't have the answer to that.
I still don't know why I saved him.I was searching for this answer too.
He placed his hand on mine and I took a deep breath.
"Don't touch me." I whispered and he moved his hand.
As soon as I finished having my breakfast.I ran back to my room.
The biggest opportunity slipped away from my hands.I couldn't believe myself.What the hell am I doing here?
I took out my phone and dialed Enrique's number.
"Hello?"
"Enrique Vásquez,Vernon Industries.How can I help you?"
"Enrique, it's Lucia." I said gently.
"Oh Lucia.How are you?" He asked.
"I am good.What about you?" I asked.
"I am fine." He replied.
"Can you meet me today?" I asked hoping he would say yes.
"I-um.I am actually busy today.I hope you don't mind.I am sure we can-"
"No that's fine." I said and hung up.
I was so exhausted.I didn't know what to do.My brain was overthinking and my legs were shaking.
What did he do to me?
I was startled by the sudden knock.I saw Luke standing at the doorway.I sat straight as he walked inside.
"How are you?" He asked as he held my hands.
"Good." I replied.It was actually the first time I said I was good even when I was miserable.
He smiled at me with those perfect,soft and luscious lips.I didn't dare to look at him because I know,if I look him in the eyes,he will make me lost in them again.
But he was my enemy.Love and infatuation was forbidden between us.
His hands moved to my cheeks.
"Please don't." I said as I moved his hands.He raised his brows and smiled at me.
As he leaned forward to me,I moved away.His intention was nothing.He just gently placed a kiss on my cheek and left.
"Don't kiss me, goddamn it!" I said from behind him as he turned around slowly.
"I hate it and I hate you!" I screamed at him.
"Maybe if you knew more,you would've but however..." He smiled murderously.His smile lit my heart on fire.As he walked closer to me,my body trembled in fear until I was paralyzed.
He leaned closer to me but I backed away until I hit a wall.
He leaned closer to my neck and ran his nose through my skin.When his lips touched my neck,my blood ran cold and I couldn't feel myself anymore.I could feel the scorching heat coming off of his hot body.
When his body touched mine,I felt weak and my heart went numb.I couldn't control myself anymore and I let out a moan.
"Luke... please." I whispered.
"You're still thinking about your dead guy?" He smirked like the devil.
"You killed him." I said.I could barely speak.He made me so weak.I can't explain how I was feeling.
I sniffed harder in his manly scent."You will forget him soon." He whispered in my ear.His hot breath brushed through my neck and I shivered.
"You will suffer for killing him Luke Vernon." I said to him but he laughed.
"You don't even love him.Do you? Why are you pushing yourself so hard for a person whom you don't love?" He asked with a cruel and dangerous smile.
"I love him." I whispered.
"But the way you jumped over my body to save my life says exactly the opposite." He said.His voice was filled with tenderness.
I looked down in embarrassment.
"You will forget about him soon." He said again and left the room.
