Curled up in their armours, they were shouting of joy.
Before going back to the General Defence Command, Zàira decided to check on her parents' farm and Ulica followed her on the spaceship.
They landed on what was once a luxuriant Calicantus field belonging to her father.
Every crop had been lost. Their house, on the other hand, had been partially damaged.
It consisted of a building shaped like an eight, and two courtyards respectively used as an allotment for aromatic herbs and medicinal herbs, and as support to the field work, where the family life was led.
Zàira stared for a brief second at her surroundings startled. Then, she worked up the courage and jumped out of the spaceship with her usual determined attitude and invited Ulica inside.
