All the Tetramirs went to the capital's southern civilian shelter: Veis had been transferred there together with the Tersal.
The shelter was underground: it had been entirely dug into the ground underneath a city park. In this way, it would be protected from potential bombings, considering the lack of houses on the outside. The entrance was concealed and looked like a natural hollow that was created by the difference in altitude of the ground and had been covered by various bushes. At the entrance, a guard was charged with controlling that no one was exploiting the situation to establish a black market on food and to prevent bullies to pick up fights aimed at hoarding the supplies.
