Meeting someone very differnet

Kara The demon took a step back and extended me his hand. It was no surprise that I took it eagerly. Without another word he opened a portal behind me and led me thought it. That was the first time I traveled like this and it was so strange, but I did not get to linger on those thoughts as I realized where we landed. We stood in what looked like a place from a fairy tale. It was a castle... like a real live castle covered in the most magnetic greenery. I looked around taking in the beauty of this place, when the most beautiful woman appeared right next to us. "I should have guessed it was you. No one else would be stupid enough or powerful enough to even attempt to get past my security spells." "Hello to you Ari." The woman rolled her eyes at the demon, but then her eyes landed on me and her face changed. Sure it did not resemble any signs of warmth or welcoming, but there was a glimmer of curiosity in her eyes as she looked me up and down. "And what do you have here?" Her tone had the same edge of short temper and rudeness to it. My eyes slowly traveled to the demon's face. In no reality would her rudeness not earn raft and death from a powerful creature like that, but when I looked up at him I saw that he was smiling. Well okay, he was smirking, not smiling. If I didn't know better, I would say that he had a winning grin on his face. He ignored her rudeness and harsh comments, and just went on to introduce us. "Ari meet Kara." I made a small respectful nod as she stared at me. When our eyes met for a moment I saw her soften a bit, but then she blinked it all away. "And why are you and Kara here?" "Can't I visit a friend?" Ari's eyes shot up from mine as she looked up at the demon with a murderous gleam on her face. "No. You don't just visit, what do you want?" Her harsh reaction earned a little laugh from the demon. "Okay, you got me here, I'm here because Kara needs a teacher and you are the best I know." The womans face soured as she shook her head. "You know that I do not take in students." "I know, but I thought you could make an exception for me... and for little Kara here." He was giving her what looked like his best smile, but the woman in front of us was not having any of it. She just rolled her eyes, but then she concentrated on me again. This time her eyes were not kind, but predetorious as she looked me over again. I felt like a mouse caught in a trap. it felt like her eyes were piercing my soul and she was looking inside of me. "Why did you bring a complete novice here? She cant even shield herself." "That is why I brought her here. She needs a teacher, that would give her the full crash course and we both know that there is no one better then you to teach her this shit." Aris eyes shot up to the demons as she lifted one eyebrow and scrunched up her face. "Don't call witch craft shit." The wind picked up around us and I felt a slight tremble in the air. I was sure that this was the demon getting angry at the witches rude words, but he had a calm look on his face. All of his attention was concentrated on the furious witch in front of us. "Ari." He said in a strict tone sent a shiver down my spine, "No need to get emotional about this, it was just a crude joke." The sour look on the witches face did not disappear, but the tension in the air and the wind did calm down. "Do not forget yourself." She said in a calm tone and with every intent in her voice. Only now did I realize that she was the one that was sending the little trembles in the air and making the wind go crazy. Was she that powerful? I had only heard of power like that in stories of ancient witches, but nothing like that ever seemed real, well no one in my convent had power like that or anything close to it. "No need to threaten me, Ari." The demon had a mocking smile on his. "I still remember the damage we caused the last time we fought." The witch in front of me rolled her eyes as her body relaxed fully. "That volcano explosion was a miss calculation on my part... I missed you by an inch..." Wait... did she just say that she caused an volcano eruption? "Not that it would have done more than just scratch you." Her words made the demon laugh as she turned on her heel and started walking. "Come on, lets take your little sheep inside before her head explodes." I blinked a few times and looked after her as she started walking toward the house. I did not notice it at first as it was covered in lush greenery and blended into the scenery so well. The big house with colored glass windows looked magical and alive. "Come on, little witch, we shouldn't make your teacher wait, she is not very patient." "I heard that." Came a voice from inside the house and the demon behind me just chuckled. "And we both know that to be the truth." He answered he with a slight chuckle. "Wait... did... did she agree to teach me?" I asked him my voice no more then a whisper. "She would have agreed no matter what. Ari has a soft spot for lost little witches like you, even though she is playing rough. Now let's go." Gently he led me into the house. The closer we got the more I felt something around the house. It made my skin tingle and made me wish to stop and not get closer... it felt a bit like I am invading a place I am not supposed to go to. "It's house energy. Every witch's house has a specific energy that repels anyone that is not invited in." Aris voice came from the side as we strapped inside and I looked around feeling confused. "Energy? I thought only living creatures have energy?" "Well witches house is alive. Come here." She extended her hand and I took it hesitantly. Not so gently, she pulled me away from the demon and took me to the closest wall, laying my hand on it. For a second I felt nothing and I just stared at the wall confused, but then following my instincts I reached out and touched the wall, like really touched the wall and took a breath in... and then I felt it... the settle flow of energy. It was like blood pumping through m veins. "Wow..." In complex awe and shock, I stared at the walls and chuckled in amazement. "Its really alive... Its really alive..." I said louder last time and turned to the dream. There was a silly grin on my face as I could not hide my excitement about this. Never in my life had I felt anything like this... this happiness and joy in my heart... excitement even. It was like I was transferred back to childhood with its wonder and hunger for knowledge. "Well, I guess this is your first lesson. Now, let's have tea and you can tell me the full story." There was no more hostility in her voice and she even sounded soft once again, as she led me back to the middle of the house.
