Julia’s POV
I listen patiently as Ross tells me every last detail of his time in the Emerald Kingdom, including how he had been feeling angry and discouraged, not having been able to find me for those three years. Everyone claimed to have no knowledge of where I was. Which was true. Only one wolf in the capital actually knew who I was and that I was there working in the palace, and that was only because Delta Malcom had to do a background check before allowing me to work there.
“I had come up with a somewhat detailed plan of what I was going to do with you when I finally found you,” Ross was saying as I dug into my delicious steak dripping with a garlic herb butter. “It certainly did NOT include raping you while you were knocked out!”
