A GOLD DIGGER SEES A GOLD DIGGER

1500 Words
LUCAS JONES “Juliet... May I come in?” I ask. She looks startled as someone who is guilty, but I look past in and let myself in while she gathers her thoughts. “My brother’s house still hasn’t changed much. It is still as how I remember it,” I complimented , looking at the family photos hanged on the wall. “I wouldn’t change it for anyone. This is how my husband left this house, so I will keep it as it is,” Juliet says, walking towards me. “Why are you here?” Straight to the point, I see. “Well, I came to check on how you are doing, but I can see that you are doing so well like someone whose son did not just run away from his fiancée and wedding. He is such a coward,” “Don’t you dare call my son a coward!” “Well, I am glad it is not my son who is missing, so I won’t have to worry about any thing, but I came to ask you if you have any idea why he gave up everything and left?” I ask, trying to get her point of view and if she’ll know the reason. She chuckles and acts dumb in my face. I hate it when people laugh in serious situations. It annoys the f**k out of me. “Don’t you have anything to do with Wayne’s disappearance? It screams your name, Lucas. Where is my son? Why did you have to ruin his beautiful day? Why did you wait until this day to come back to America? Did that b***h call you to stop the wedding for her because she did not have the guts to do it herself?” “Juliet!” I shout. “What? Are you angry that I just called that little gold digger a b***h? How did she agree to marry you? What agreement did you make with her? Wait, let me guess... she agreed to marry you because she knew she would benefit from the Jones’s wealth... just like he wanted to marry my son for his inheritance that his father left for him. What a smart girl,” “That’s enough, Juliet. Enough with your speculations! If anything, that girl you just insulted has a name. She is the victim here because she loves your son, and on top of that, your son loves her too. It is just unfortunate that he chose to be a coward and not be a man enough to at least tell her in her face why he changed his mind. How did my brother give birth to such a sissy?” I growl, irritated. “Stop talking about Wayne like that, and lastly, never speak about my late husband!” “He was my brother!” “Who wanted nothing g to do with you before he died!” “You are a poison, Juliet. I couldn’t expose you to my brother before he passed on, but soon, all your schemes will come out and your son will know about the shitty mother he has. You are judging Cassandra because you are afraid she’ll be just like you or even way better and take over the entire Jones’s empire. Let me tell you something, Julie...” I step towards her and put my hand on her head, brushing her hair softly. “A gold digger sees a gold digger – moreover, a b***h sees a b***h. I hope I make sense.” I let her go and just as I was about to leave, she grabs my arm tightly. “You will never leave without telling me where my son is, Lucas! Where are you hiding my son!?” I sigh loudly and push her off me. “You think I am f*****g stupid!” She falls to the floor and cries. “You won’t get away with this, Lucas!” She shouts. I shake my head and walk out of the house instantly. What a crazy woman. *** As soon as I arrive at the hotel in Cassie’s room, I find her no longer in bed. It is past nine at night, and as far as I know, she didn’t eat the whole day, so I bought food along the way. “Cassandra?” I call out. I put the food on the table and head out of the glass door to the balcony, but there seem to be no one, so I head back and close the door. “Cassie, I am back! Where are you?” I head to the bathroom, and the closer I get, the more I hear the water running. I open the door and enter the bathroom. She is not in the bathtub, so I check her in the shower. My, oh my... “Cassandra! Do you want to get sick? Dammit, how long have you been here!?” There she is, sitting butt naked on the ceramic tile floor of the shower with cold water running down her body. The way she isn’t moving, I though she was dead. I close the faucets and pull her cold wet body out of the shower and carry her out to the bedroom. “Stupid little girl!” I growl and put her on the bed and wrap her body with a quilt. “Do you have a death wish?” I get the AC remote and turn it on to a warm mode. “You are making me angry, Cassie!” “Then you should have just let me die. I wanted to die rather than be your wife and submit to you. I wanted to leave this world and its bitterness. You took Wayne so that you could marry me. You are so evil, Lucas!” Not her too! Not f*****g now! “Shut up, especially if you don’t know what you are talking about,” I order her. “You didn’t have to kidnap him. Please, just let him go, and I will willingly submit to you. I’ll be your brat, daddy... just please let him go,” She starts crying. She weakly stands, removing the quilt on her body and kneels in front of me. She clasps her hands and begs me. “I am on my knees, Daddy... tell me what to do. What can I do to save Wayne?” She holds my legs and slides her hands up to my zip. The first time I made her kneel for me was very sensual and sexy that I even put a cushion under her knees. Today is just different. It freaking upsets me to see her down on her knees because if she could kneel for Juliet and beg her, she could do it on everyone. I f*****g hate it. “Stop... stand on your feet,” I order her. “It’s my fault and I know that you came back to punish me, daddy. Please take me instead and let Wayne go... he is your nephew,” Her hand attempts to slide inside my zip, but I quickly block it by holding her hand. She gasps in surprise and looks at me baffled. “I said stop it, Cassandra. Stand up, get dressed, and have a meal. There is no need for you to ask me to take you because I already have you. We are married, and you are my wife so act like it!” “Wife? I don’t even love you! I love Wayne...” “Fuuuck!” I shout and pull her up. I grab a handful of her hair and tilt her head so she can look up at me. “You are hurting me,” She cries. “You don’t want to upset me when we are just getting started, Cassie. You don’t have a f*****g clue of that is happening here, so shut the hell up before I make you,” “What now? Are you going to make it public that I am your wife?” She sadly asks. I would love to, but everyone knows that she was going to be the young Jones’s wife and they think they are married right now. Everyone left confused without any explanation, but as soon as Cassie returns to her daily life, she can explain that they had a private ceremony due to family ritual that had to be done. What they won’t know is that, she is actually married to me, but at least she gets to have the Jones family name in the end. “I will fetch you in the morning. We need to go to the county clerk and sign to have our documents and marriage certificate,” “Can’t you do that alone?” She asks, uninterested. “Don’t get cheeky with me, Cassandra.” I let go of her and clear my throat. “See you in the morning.” I turn away and leave immediately.
