Finally 5 o' clock rolls around and Mia and I leave with the last customer. "What are you up to tomorrow?" Mia asks me as we walk down the road to get Nando's. I do love myself some good old Nando's. Especially after a hard days work. "Huh?" I look at her strangely. "I'm working obviously?" "It's Saturday?" She says amusedly. Oh. Righteo. "Probably just watching tv, doing some house work. Maybe I'll get pizza.." I think out loud before trailing off, pizza having taken over my thought process. Mia gives me a strange look. "Are you sure you don't have plans?" I roll my eyes at her. "Don't remind me that I have the most boring life ever. I don't have plans." She smirks at me. "Did you forget about our little chat last night?" I sigh. It's never a good thing when Mia smirks. "What are my plans? Please remind me?" She giggles. "You'll be recovering from your hangover." I blink. "Oh. Right." I had completely forgotten. "We're going to a club tonight girl!" She says excitedly. I groan but don't even bother complaining because after all, I had agreed to this. Knowing myself though, I'll have one drink but be stuck taking care of Mia who'll be drunk in a second. I don't even like clubs or drinking. Well this is going to be one interesting night. "The dress is too tight, there's too much eyeliner on my face and my hair has too much hairspray on it." I whine to Mia. "Shut up and keep your eyes closed." She snaps at me. We're getting ready at her place and she insisted she'd get me ready. Terrible mistake. She's insisting that I'm going to look gorgeous and that we're going to have a great night. I'm very uncertain about that. She has an evil glint in her eye though, so I have a feeling she has something up her sleeve. After what feels like a life time, she finally steps back with a satisfied nod and says, "my masterpiece is complete, dear Adalie." I walk over to her full length mirror and look at myself. I gotta admit, I clean up nicely. My hair is in soft, beachy waves falling over my shoulders, I'm wearing a sexy little black dress that accentuates my waist and makes my legs look longer than they are. My make up is flawless, really making my lips look full and my eyes stand out. And it doesn't hurt that my eyebrows are on fleek too. I put on a ring and a pretty silver necklace and spray myself all over with perfume and I'm ready to go. "Thanks so much for this Mia, I will never look this hot again." I joke. She looks gorgeous too, in a navy blue short dress with long sleeves and detail on the back, and her hair is in a sleek ponytail. "No problem, now let's go!"  *** "Is anyone else gonna be there that we know? Or that you know?" I say in the taxi on the way to a club unknown to me. She nods. "My cousin Jack is coming and bringing his girlfriend and a couple of friends. I haven't met any of them except Jack, obviously, and I've never been to this club so we're on an equal footing of knowledge." She says.  We get out and are met by a fairly bland entrance, however the line outside indicates otherwise. There are two huge and scary looking bouncers. I go to join the line when Mia grabs my arm. "Come on." She doesn't give me a chance to question her and pulls me up to the bouncers. "We're here with Jack." She says. They don't question her at all and step aside for us to enter. "Who the hell is Jack for them to have let us in like that?" I shout over the music. "He owns the club babe." She smirks. Oh okay. I look around to find us in a dark room but with obviously expensive decor and guests, everyone is dressed very well and there's no bouncing around and grinding although the music is very loud. I'm impressed. Its way nicer than I expected. We walk to the bar where a very good looking bartender asks us what we'll have. I decide to actually get a drink-surprise surprise- and Mia gets the same as me. We walk to a booth and slide in, waiting for Mia's cousin and co to find us. After a while a group of five walk up to us. "Hey Mia." The first guy says. I assume he's Jack. "Meet my girlfriend Lauren." A petite girl of about my height steps out from behind him. She's pretty and blond with striking green eyes and a pretty silver dress on. I introduce myself to the couple and find I really like them, at least so far. "Hey! I'm Ben." One of of Jacks friends says to me before pulling me in for a hug. He's cute looking with soft chocolate eyes and blond hair. I instantly feel at ease around him and I can tell he's a sweet guy. "Hey Ben, I'm Adalie." I say once he's released me. "Ooh. A French girl. I like." He says with a smile. I find myself smiling along. "Okay dude, my turn, stop hogging the babe." A new guy pushes past Ben. He looks remarkably like Ben so I assume they're brothers. He has the same eyes but brown hair. They're both tall and tower over me even though I'm wearing heels. I laugh at them. "Hey, I'm Adalie." He pulls me into a bone crushing hug and introduces himself. "I'm Dylan. The smarter, hotter and funnier brother." He winks at me. I laugh and shake my head. There's still one guy I haven't met and I peek around Ben to see him. He's standing close to Mia and they appear to have hit it off nicely. He's tall, not as tall as the brothers but still tall with jet black hair and a muscular body. He's smirking at Mia whose blushing profusely. There's something funny about him and I don't think I'll like him. I know I know, don't judge a book by its cover, but just by the way he's looking at Mia I don't like him. It's not a friendly or kind look. More of a "I wanna get into your pants" look. I decide not to meet him right now and warn Mia  later, so I go to the booth with Dylan and Ben. Another drink down and a conversation about whether episode one, two and three or four, five and six of Star Wars is better, (I'm all about the older ones but you gotta love Anakin and Padmay) and I'm ready to dance. Lauren and Jack are dancing and Dylan has gone off to probably flirt with some girl. Mia and Ben are chatting and the unknown friend has disappeared. "Do you two wanna dance or should I go alone?" I ask Ben and Mia. "No! We'll come, you can't be unaccompanied." Mia says like the good protective friend she is while Ben nods along. We make our way do the dance floor where some mainstream song is playing. We dance for a while in a group before the unknown friend reappears to snatch Mia away. I roll my eyes as he leads her away. I don't know why, but the bad feeling I got about him from the beginning hasn't gone away.  They are dancing pretty close to us, so at least I can keep an eye out on the two of them. It's nice dancing with Ben, we chat and laugh and it's not awkward or coupley, it's like we're already best friends. The song changes to a more upbeat one and everyone starts jumping so we step closer to each other so that we don't get separated and can still talk/shout over the music. Despite the mood we sway and Ben holds me by the waist. I feel someone come up close behind me, or closer than everyone else pressing in, making me step closer to Ben. The unknown person places his hands on my waist and brings his face near my ear. I'm totally freaked out and I take hold of Ben for protection. However when I turn around to view the guy I'm surprised to see none other than Atticus standing behind me with a very confused look on his face. "Atticus?" I say confusedly. He clenches his jaw. "Adalie. So this is your boyfriend. I see. You could have just told me I was wasting my time." He says before turning and walking away. "I'll see you back at the booth!" I yell to Ben before hurrying after Atticus. Good thing he's tall so I can keep track of him. His confusion over Ben shows me that he might just care about me in some small way already, despite only having met once. Although I guess I should be annoyed that Atticus jumped to conclusions so quickly, or I guess I should think his behavior is a little weird, I don't. I just want to make sure he'll actually speak to me again.
