Once everyone was settled with their coffee, the atmosphere turned serious.
I couldn't help but cuddle into Hunter, knowing the conversation was also about to take a turn.
"So, what do we know so far about Jaxson's situation?" the king asked, surprising me by asking about Jaxson instead of Cassidy. I wasn’t stupid, though. I knew that conversation was coming too.
"Well, from what Aurelia told us, they met just over a month ago in the human realm. It sounds like Jaxson was with the counsel's guard, conducting Omega testing in one of the human cities. After he verbally claimed Aurelia as his mate, the guards turned on him. Does the name Theodore sound familiar to you?" Hunter asked.
The king nodded before saying, "He's one of the main targets Jaxson was investigating."
