Waking Up

{Ashlyn’s POV}

A sudden jolt and I was sitting up in my hospital bed, as I looked around the room I could see something strange in my view. I removed the bandages from my eye and opened it, blinking slowly and carefully. “I can see!” I said softly, I slowly stood up, walking to the bathroom. I looked in the mirror, seeing one of my eyes it’s normal green with yellow flecks, and the other a pale white. It looked as though I was blind, but I could see perfectly out of it. There was a large scar from above my eyebrow, across my eye, and down part of my cheek. My body looked weaker, and my face was slightly sunken in. I built up all my strength and walked back into my room. No one was here, I was alone.. I sat on the edge of the bed taking a deep breath and mind linking my family. “I’m awake.
