"Are you listening to me Ms. Wild?" Ms. Corbett asked, my maths teacher, or lecture, I'm having trouble with all these college terms. No of course I wasn't listening, I did all this in high school already.
"Yes Miss." I said. Lies.
"Then what's the answer to this?" I looked at the board, and worked out the answer fairly fast.
"4," I said confidently. I was a wiz at maths.
"Correct, pay attention Ms. Wild." She gave me a stern look the continued with the work.
"Pssst River." A note got fired off my head, making me jump. I looked around but couldn't find who wrote it. I debated on whether to open it or not, but decided to.
Stupid b***h xo
And their was a picture of a monster under it, I suppose that was meant to be me. I sighed and scrunched it up. The taunting and notes have been getting worse and worse through the weeks. A lot of the girls hated me now, because of sleeping with Reece.
"Ignore it River," Reece said. He say next to me in the classes he was in. And Trevor or Cian sat next to me in the classes he wasn't. The other guys were in none of my classes.
"I know." I smiled at him, a big fat fake smile.
"Mr. Collins, what's the problem?" Reece smirked, what is he up to?
"Kiera and Kylie gave this to me before I came, they said it was of you Miss." Reece stood up from his chair, taking the notes from my hands and bringing it up to you Professor Corbett. He ignored all the stares and whispers. All the girls were staring at him dreamily, and me deathly.
"I just thought you would like to see it Miss." He handed her the note. Her eyes darkened the minute she opened the note.
"KYLIE AND KIERA, DEANS OFFICE NOW!" I couldn't help but smirk, you go Reece. For the lecturer to use their first names definitely meant it was serious.
"Thank you Mr. Collins, I appreciate you showing me this." She smiled at Reece before he went back to his seat, winking at me on the way up.
"Thanks Reece." I smiled at him, which he returned.
"No problem princess." He winked again. Don't ever call me princess.
The rest of the day was okay, it was cold though. Freezing for that matter. Their was light snow starting, it was going to be flooded with snow by the end of the day. But do you know what that means? ICE SKATING!
"It's so cold." I cuddled further into Trevor, he had a massive hoodie on. It was so cozy.
"The place will be completely covered in snow by tomorrow," Cian said.
"The girls will have no problem keeping warm with Reece anyway," Tucker said. Because I have a stupid crush, of course a pang of jealousy hit my chest.
"Let's just thank god it isn't us, we won't have to check for an S.T.D," I joked, earning a playful glare from Reece. Good way to hide your jealousy River.
"Shut up," he laughed.
"Make me," I teased.
"Wouldn't you love that." Yes, Shut up River.
"You wish." I stuck out my tongue at him.
"You could cut the s****l tension here with a knife." Jee guys, way to make a moment awkward.
"Please do cut it with a knife, because the way Reece looks at Cian makes me nervous." I scrunched my nose up while saying this, causing everyone bar Reece to laugh.
"You're so funny River," he fake laughed.
"I know." I smiled smugly.
"So are ye going out tonight." I asked the guys, my new best friends.
"Nah we were coming back to yours to watch a movie tonight." Cian winked at me. If I'm honest I liked staying inside, less drama.
"Can we watch a horror please!" I begged, I loved horrors.
"Whatever you want River," Tucker said smiling.
•~•~•
"You're such a baby," I said laughing. Tucker was cuddled into Trevor his eyes closed completely. It was only 'Insidious 3', it wasn't that scary. I had an obsession with horrors, I loved them so much.
"Just because you're an absolute weirdo." Tucker was practically crying while saying this.
"Shut up and watch the movie," I laughed.
Knock knock
"I'll get it!" Tucker sprung up immediately running to the door.
"I'm amazed I'm not fat with the amount of pizza I've eaten so far," I said rubbing my belly after the pizza.
"I can help you get fit?" Reece said. He had muscles bigger than my head.
"Really?" I perked up.
"Yeah, sure why not?" He shrugged.
"Thanks babe," I said, giving him a wink.
•~•~•
"REECE?" I shouted.
"WHAT?" He shouted back.
"We're snowed in," I said as he came out of the shower.
"ARE YOU SERIOUS, I HAD A DATE TODAY!" He shouted. A date? Great just great, just as my crush was getting bigger, his was getting smaller, if he even had one.
"Oh, we'll looks like your stuck with me." I tried my best for a smile.
"The date was with you, I was going to take you to the gym." He said.
"You were taking me on a date? Cute." My mood instantly picked up hearing that. I sat down next to him on the couch.
"We'll seeming as you're so obsessed with me, how couldn't I?" he said smugly.
"How considerate of you," I said jokingly.
"Reece?" I said.
"Mmm," he responded.
"Why are you so embarrassed by me Reece?" I asked.
"We talked about this already," he sighed.
"We talked about it, but you never gave me an answer," I quietly said.
"I'm not embarrassed by you River. I like you, a lot more than I should. But is like getting with girls too, and if I kiss you in public, girls will think I'm taken." Wow, what a guy. "But at the same time I don't want you getting with anyone else, so I don't know what to do." He ran a hand through his hair.
"I'm not asking for us to be an item or anything, but I like you Reece, and before I like you more, I just want to know if I have any chance." I looked down blushing madly.
"How about we just see where everything goes?" He said.
"Sounds good." I gave him a small hug.
"So you up for a game of scrabble or monopoly," I smiled excitingly at him.
"Sure thing, just hope you're prepared to loose." He laughed.
"Bring it mother sucker," I said.
"You're so cool River," he laughed, a bit too hard to say the least.
"You better know it," I clicked my tongue.
We played scrabble and monopoly until we were bored out of our brains. It was coming into the evening time, and we weren't snowed in anymore.
"I'm going out," Reece said. What?
"Are you?" I said, I was disappointed if I'm honest.
"Yeah I'll be home later, okay?" He gave me a small hug then left. Now what do I do?
A few hours passed and their was still no sign of Reece. I was feeling really lonely.
Knock knock
"Reece?" Did he forget his key? I opened the door, but there was Keira, crying.
"Kiera? What's wrong?" I immediately went over to her.
"I'm so so so sorry River,"she cried and cried.
"For what?" I asked.
"I never wanted to hurt you River," she said, still crying.
"I'm sorry too, it's okay now alright. Can we please just put everything behind us," I cried now too.
"I don't like him anymore River, I like Trevor. You didn't deserve the beating I never meant that I promise," she cried again. Wait, she likes Trevor.
"Look come in, we'll talk all about it okay?" I stepped back, allowing her in.
Hopeful by the end of tonight I'll final have my best friend back.
I missed her so much.
"What the hell is she doing here?" Reece said, coming in. He had no girl with him, what the hell?
"I'm so sorry Reece, you know what Kylie is like. She's manipulative and a b***h. I was so mad until I realised I don't actually like you, it was a stupid crush." She pleaded, looking at Reece.
"Hurt River again, ever, I promise I won't be so easy to forgive. Night River." He gave me a small hug then stormed into his room.
Was he being protective of me?
What?
