CHAPTER 10 Kennedy had been right. It was nighttime when she and Ian found each other. By morning, when Hak-Kun turned on the lights, she strained her neck as far as she could, pressing her face against her bars, but she still couldn’t make out any other cells. She knew from the sound of his voice last night that Ian was somewhere to her left, at least some distance apart judging by how loudly they had to speak.
