CHAPTER 24 “Excuse me! Excuse me!” Kennedy turned around at the sound of footsteps rushing toward her. “Yes?” She glanced at the wiry man with his thick-rimmed glasses and tattered notebook in his shirt pocket. “Are you Kennedy Stern?” She nodded tentatively, trying to recall if she was supposed to recognize him or not. He looked too old to be one of her classmates. “Have we met?” He held out his hand. “No, I’m Eugene from Channel 2. I understand you were close with Ian McAllister and wondered if you had a moment to give me a short statement about Secretary Hamilton’s trip to Pyongyang.” A short statement?
