Catching the enemy off guard

REVA’S POV After I left Kasia’s place I went home only to find one of the packhouse messengers in the living room with my father. I couldn’t even understand what the messenger was doing here because whatever relation that had been between my family and the alpha had been severed the day my sister killed herself. “What the f**k is he doing here?” I asked my father while my eyes were glued to the messenger, I knew he was the messenger because he was the same guy that had come with some money that was from the alpha after my sister had died. I didn’t even know or understand how he thought his money would help my family. “He is here with a message from the alpha,” my father said “What does he want?” I asked the messenger and he cleared his throat before he spoke to me “I apologize, I think I am in the wrong house,” he said “Damn right you are” I sneered “Damn it Reva just let him speak” my father snapped at me and I folded my arms and looked away “what was the message you were supposed to deliver?” my father asked him “It was an invitation to a party that the alpha is hosting tomorrow, I was sent to inform all households that had unmated female wolves” he explained and I was disgusted when I realized what the party was for “It completely slipped my mind that you lost your only daughter, sir, however, if this beautiful and feisty young lady is interested in coming she can come” he offered with a smile and I rolled my eyes. There was no way that I was going to attend a party hosted by that douche bag so that he can replace my sister just a few days after her death. “Oh my, I am so flattered to be invited to toast and cheers with the beloved alpha and sure there is absolutely nothing wrong with the fact that he is trying to replace his mate just a few days after she died” I scoffed “The alpha and the rest of the kingdom is trying to move on from that tragedy,” the messenger said and it was clear to me that Logan had chosen the wrong person to deliver his message/invite. This guy was just making him sound like an insensitive ass. “Get the f**k out and tell your alpha to shove his invite,” I said angrily “But…but” I stopped him before he even said whatever stupid thing he had thought of saying “Get out” I shouted and he scrambled out of the house and banged the door on his way out “Reva, you need to remember that we are still a part of this pack,” my father said “f**k that, they killed my sister,” I said as I sat on the couch next to him “Are you going to that party?” he asked me “you better not be planning to go” he added “No way, I am not going to share a meal with that douche bag,” I said, and then I realized that wasn’t such a bad idea, being close to him would give me a little more information about him “You better not go, Reva,” my father said but his words fell on deaf ears  “I think I will go, I don’t have anything to do tomorrow night anyway. The guard said tomorrow night right?” I asked my father “You are not going anywhere Reva, I know you and the last thing this family needs is for you to go there and  cause some drama and get this family in trouble,” my father said “Don’t you get it, dad, there is no family here anymore. Aurora is dead” I said as tears started welling up in my eyes but then I quickly collected myself and wiped the few tears that had escaped off my face “I will attend the party and familiarize myself with my alpha,” I said firmly “I don’t think it is a good idea” my father protested “Come on dad, I mean what if I meet my mate at this party? You are the one who is always making noise about me finding my mate so what if this is my opportunity to find him?” I asked him and I knew that the thought of me finding my mate was going to make him change his mind. “Fine, it is clear that this is not an argument that I can win,” he said “but you better behave yourself and I don’t want to hear anything about misbehaving from your side” my father warned “Don’t worry dad, I will be on my best behavior. When have I ever misbehaved?” I asked him with a sweet smile and he shook his head and walked away. I had never met Logan, I had only heard a lot about him from my aunt and my sister never really spoke about him whenever she visited me. That was another thing that was weird about Aurora, she never spoke about him and whenever I asked her about him she would just brush my questions off and ask me a question about myself to remove all attention from her, she was very good at deflecting. She always seemed absent-minded and knowing what I knew about Logan now, I could understand why she killed herself and why she was always so absent-minded. He was probably treating her so horribly to the extent that she couldn’t take anymore. I wanted revenge for my sister’s death but I didn’t have a plan of action as to how I was going to be able to do that. One thing was for sure, attending this party was going to get me close enough to Logan so that I could assess all the ways that I could get to him or if there were any at all. I suddenly found myself getting excited about attending the party and I just couldn’t wait to see what the night held for me. The only thing that I had to do now was to get a dress that I would wear, I wanted Logan to be distracted by me in every possible way. I wanted to be at the center of his attention even to the extent that he wasn’t able to think straight and when he was least expecting it,  would strike him where it hurt the most….his ego. I couldn’t even sleep that night, I was just fantasizing about how the following night would go and I couldn’t wait to make Logan sweat. If all went well and I managed to get him attracted to me I would make sure that I was all he thought about. I could only hope and pray that the spell that Kasia had put on me would work. The last thing I wanted was to walk into that packhouse looking for revenge and walk out with love and a mate instead, I couldn’t afford to be distracted by anything. The following day I woke up and made some breakfast for my father, after I was done I took a quick shower and got into my car. I was going to Kasia’s house and I wanted her to help me get a dress to wear tonight for the party. “So where are we going?” she asked me as she gt into my car, as per usual I had found her waiting for me outside because she already knew that I was on my way. “To the mall obviously, where else can we buy a sexy and pretty dress?” I asked her “I never thought this day would come, I never thought that you would trade your tight leather pants for a pretty dress” she mocked “I might just end up buying  something like that,” I said  and she shook her head “So you said on the phone that Logan had invited you to a party, what party is it and I thought he didn’t know that Aurora had a sister?” she asked “Oh he doesn’t know that I am her sister or that I will be attending, but a messenger accidentally came to my house to invite a female to the party and unfortunately he forgot that the only female that they knew of had passed away,” I said excitedly there was nothing more exciting than catching your enemy off guard.
