Damien's POV
I stayed inside throughout, reminiscing about how my life suddenly turned out. How did I get to this? Am I supposed to regret coming to help my childhood friend conquer his enemies who wanted to take his sweat away from him?
The familiar thought crept into my mind and taking a close look at it, it made sense. This wouldn't have happened if I had stayed in my pack, attending to my normal Alpha duties and supporting my pack members.
I wouldn't have gone to any war, or battle to the point of someone slashing me with poisoned claws. "Damn that Alpha!" I cursed for the umpteenth time today and I feel tired.
I don't think I have ever felt so weak in my entire life. I was barely eating or having a good sleep ever since my wolf decided to betray me and lock himself inside me.
