Railyn was annoyed. She had no idea why her friend was resisting to get out of their room. The omega had been hovering over her bed from the past three minutes, which mind you are precious just to get Naya out. Her efforts were met with a dead end.
“Come on, Naya!” Railyn huffed, plopping on the bed in front of her. Her feet were pressed together, hands bracketing them as she tried to adjust herself. If anything the omega wanted to get out and have a cold drink to calm her nerves. They were all over the place.
“May I help you?” Her friend innocently squinted through her blurry vision, not even bothering to push the covers off her body. What was so pleasing about staying in bed after one in the afternoon? Railyn would never understand.
Railyn huffed, “Yes, it's Saturday—do you not recognise me? Where are your glasses?”
Naya made a face at the last part and lazily pulled herself to sit against the headboard. Her glasses were lying nearby, resting neatly on the nightstand along with her phone. She put them on before turning towards Railyn with a tired look on her face, “What do you want, Ray?”
Railyn was very well aquatinted with that voice. Her best friend was obviously going to come up with a reason to stay in bed all day.
“And why are you wearing my jacket?”
Railyn blushed, running a hand through the jean jacket. It had cute stickers in the front which attracted her instantly. Besides, they went well with her skinny jeans and blacktop. How was Naya not seeing that?
“Technically, it’s your sister's jacket.”
“And now it’s mine” Naya rolled her eyes.
“You said I could borrow your clothes anytime.”
Naya sighed, rubbing her eyes, “Oh yeah and now that you are wearing it, can you please let me sleep?”
“No” Railyn shook her head. How can her best friend forget about it? Sometimes it felt like Naya didn’t pay attention to half the things Railyn says. They decided to go shopping for the party tonight, and it was going to be wild. Atleast that’s what the omegas on the next block said.
“What do you want?”
“Go shower; we are going shopping. The party is tonight, and you promised to help me out” Railyn glared at her friend, crossing her arms together. She should have recorded the moment Naya said yes so she would have some proof to shove in her face.
At her whining tone, Naya looked up, “I did, but I need to sleep, Ray. Sorry I’ll make it up to you.”
The omega sighed. She knew that Naya would cancel last moment, obviously preferring to stay in her room after her work. But Railyn thought to give it a try.
“Pray tell me how are you going to do that?”
“I’ll let you do whatever you want tonight. Won’t tell anyone about it.” Naya blurted out.
A devious smile crossed Railyns face. She blinked several times to confirm if it was real. Naya always snitched about her, so hearing her say felt surreal. The omega stood up, holding on to her bag.
“Now I can forgive you for not going along with me. I’ll see you tonight.”
Naya grinned, “Great! Be safe.”
“I am always safe” Railyn scoffed, trailing out of the room.

By the time Railyn was done with her shopping, it was evening.
The omega felt eyes on her as she took a turn around the corner. Her car stopped in the middle of the deserted road, which was shocking since she gave it for serving a week ago. Having no option, she decided to walk out and look for a nearby garage or anything that will take her back home.
Swallowing the lump in her throat, she tightened her hand on the strap of her purse and hastily walked. Turning around was not an option.
The footsteps got louder as she gained speed to her movements. Before she could turn around a hand clamped on her mouth. Railyn tried to struggle against the hold, using her claws to dig into the skin of the intruder but the person didn’t budge. Her nails tore the skin, and as she tried to lift her leg, she felt the dizziness consume her whole. Darkness filled her eyes, and she couldn’t see anything ahead of her. Did they drug her? She thought in fear limply fell on the ground, her eyes clenched shut.

There was no light. Railyn realised the moment she opened her eyes. She noticed that there were windows, but all had been successfully boarded up as if to make sure that there wasn't any way for her to see the outside world. Her eyes moved towards the massive metal door which had silver linings because, of course, they needed that to keep her inside the room.
The only way Railyn realised that it had been a few hours was the light streaming from the tiny sills of the windows. How long was she asleep? The omega looked around the room, staring at the blank walls and concrete flooring. There was a tiny bed in the corner with old sheets and a nightstand. She wrinkled her nose at that. The floor looked better than that. The high ceilings and a bright lamp on the wall were a clear sign that the room was meant to be a part of something big. Instead, it was a sad excuse. Who even designed it? So pathetic. And why would anyone let her rot in the room? She was going to kill the person for touching her and secondly for the bad sense of style. Anyone could have done a better job.
The whole memory of being taken away felt a blur event. All she remembered was trying to find a nearby garage for her car. Railyn didn’t even get a good look at her attackers as she was locked in a tight grip.
She shivered as she could still feel the cold breeze on her skin from when she had been walking towards that deserted corner. Only if Naya had came along with her, so many things would have been avoided.
Also, why would anyone try to kidnap her of all people? Railyn was a good omega. Atleast she convinced herself. Never did she step out of their dorm without permission and her marks were the best in the university. Above all, she did not even have dirty thoughts about Alphas. Why was she being punished then?
Just then she heard the footsteps approaching the door, slow and calculated. She held her breath, waiting for it to open and told herself to remain calm. Railyn had the power to convince people, so maybe she can try it out and free herself in the process. The omega stared down at her tied hands, wincing at the pain that rushed through her whole body from being in the same position for a while.
She heard the person fully step inside the room. From the corner of her eyes, she was sure that it was a Beta, tall and lanky. He inches closer to her, and she tried to shuffle back, gripping her hands together. Her heart was breathing erratically. Who could blame her? She didn't know what was going on; she basically didn't know anything. All she knew was that she was tied up in a dark room, sitting on a cold floor for moon knows how many hours!
The beta stood in front of her, his shoes coming in her sight. She felt this person's eyes staring at her, but she refused to look back. He was the reason she was stranded. Railyn had the right to be angry with him.
The beta kneeled, the moment causing Railyn to straighten her back. She was scared for her life. Betas were not exceptionally violent with nature, but anyone above her class always made her cautious. No one can be trusted easily; after all, they were animals. Most of the wolves acted on instincts, and it truly terrified her.
The beta cleared his throat, but she didn’t respond, instead of staring at the ground.
A few seconds later, she felt someone's hand on her chin, and he harshly grabbed at her, forcing the omega to look at him. Railyn felt a shiver run down her spine, and she clenched her eyes shut.
"Open your eyes, omega” A deep voice rumbled, his breath falling on her face.
The betas thick accent made her sigh. Why was it so deep and commanding? She had no choice but to blink her eyes open.
Railyn took a deep breath, slowly staring into the big brow eyes trained on her. The beta had his blonde hair slicked back; his eyes narrowed together. His tattoos littered on the arms made her frown. Why would anyone inject themselves with so much pain? She wanted to ask him that.
“You’re not Marcus ex omega, are you?” The beta broke the silence.
Railyn flared her nose, “I’m an unmated omega, you knothead.”
