Nineteen

LEANDA It was nearly sun up by the time we had finished our meeting. As our tiny group of four, two being human or pretty much human, there was not much we could do against what was happening. So we decided the first plan would be to gather more of a force to be reckoned with. We headed to bed feeling exhausted, emotionally more than physically. I woke early, the sun still in the sky. Leaving Quinn to sleep, I crept out of bed and went to shower. After I was ready, I headed up to the sun room. I had always loved the sunset and sunrise, so I had the sun room made specifically. The room was kept in darkness, but you could still see outside to watch the sun set and rise. Apparently I was not the only one with the idea, as Demitri was already there when I arrived. "I have missed this room" he commented as I approached him. The sun was just beginning to set off in the distance. We stood in silence watching the sky change colour - oranges, yellows, and purples. It was so breath taking, always so unique, no matter how many times you saw it. "We have a long night ahead of us," I began when the sky had finally turned dark. "I would like to suggest that you and Quinn work together to get everything packed and ready. While I send fire messages with Eternal. If I teach her how to do it, she may feel more useful in the near future, rather than a weak burden". "I do agree with your plan, but please do not underestimate Etna. She may still be human at the moment, but she has a determination that rivals many older Vampires. In the end, that may out weigh any physical weakness." I found that I thought on this a lot over the next few months that followed.  Eternal really was one of a kind.
