Sarah POV “El Diablo?” Marcus crooked a brow at her while he read the name plaque on the stable door. It was the name of the horse she had picked for him. “I think he’ll be a perfect fit,” Sarah gave him a sinister smirk while handing him the reign of the big black stallion. He was a Faroe horse, one of the most difficult breeds to train. So was hers, but Sarah, being a trained Equestrian, was more than capable of handling the beast. “Fiona? Why does yours have such a cute name? Who names them anyway?” Marcus asked, looking from her brown horse with white spots to his enormous black one. “Oh, trust me, she’s feistier than she looks, and your horse was named by our Spanish stable boy, Enrique. He’s quite the stallion himself,” Sarah winked, leading her horse out of the stable while Marcus scoffed, following behind her. She had only made that comment, obviously to my him jealous and because they weren’t filming inside of the stable. The drones would make the horses nervous in such a close proximity. Sarah expertly mounted her horse, waiting for Marcus to do the same. Watching him struggle with El Diablo might have been the best fifteen minutes of her week. “No, no, stop! Bad horse!” Marcus had admonished, when the black stallion tried to bite his shoe. Sarah had looked on with a smile on her face. “Oh, I bet you think this is funny, don’t you?” Marcus had sneered. “Do you think it would be possible to get on to the horse soon?” Miranda had asked after a while. “If it were possible, I would have been on him already!” Marcus had snapped. Seeing the offended look on Miranda’s face was the cherry on top. “Oh, keep your hair on,” Sarah had laughed, jumping off her horse and moving to El Diablo. She held his reigns while Marcus scrambled on. “Ready?” Sarah didn’t wait for an answer as she spurred on her horse, moving into an easy gallop. After a while, she peered over her shoulder and noticed Marcus struggling to maneuver the horse. He clearly wasn’t used to riding. Instead of moving with the rhythm of the horse’s gallop, Marcus was bouncing all over the place. Taking pity on him, she steered her horse into a light strut. “Everything okay?” she asked innocently. “Peachy.” Marcus replied in a clipped tone. “Well, I have some good news. We’ve arrived at our picnic spot,” “What? Never?” Marcus asked in astonishment. “No, I’ve never been to the movies,” Sarah answered, taking a bite of her sandwich. “After my mother died…My father just didn’t have the time or energy to take care of me. He tried…He really did, but you know, being the King and all…” Sarah shrugged, pulling out a piece of cucumber from between the bread and biting into it. Her answer made Marcus lose his tongue. “You?” She decided to break the silence. “My unit and I try to go once every few weeks. But we do have a cinema in our pack, so I guess that makes it easier.” He explained. “Oh, we have a cinema in town too. I know the castle may give off an off-the-grid vibe, but we do have a very modern city.” Sarah smiled, “Have they always been your friends?” She asked, curious about his unit. “Yes, we all grew up together, though I didn’t follow tradition. I decided to choose my best friend as the Beta instead of the former Beta’s son.” “How did the guy take it?” She asked. “Turns out he didn’t want the role to begin with, so he was actually relieved when I told him. He’s my war general now, so everything worked out for the best.” “I guess it did,” Sarah smiled. “What about you, any friends?” “Alexandra. She’s my best friend. And of course my elite warriors,” Sarah smiled. She couldn’t tell him Alex was her Beta with all of the camera’s flying around. That would make her the Alpha, and we all know how the council would respond to that. “Do you….have any siblings?” Sarah was hesitant to ask. She had already met Mackenzie when they were both in the hands of the cartel. But since all of the candidates were under a spell not to remember her, she couldn’t risk jogging his memory. “I do. Two sisters,” The way Marcus smiled while mentioning his siblings brought a smile to her own face. “I’m the oldest. Then you have Mackenzie and the youngest of the bunch is Madison. They’re both happily mated and have kids,” He continued explaining. “You must really love them,” “I do.” Marcus nodded. “I can tell by the way your face softens when you talk about them,” Marcus looked into her eyes, and for a moment, they stared at each other in silence. “Okay people, that's a wrap!” Miranda shouted, breaking the spell. “I swear to the Goddess, if I have to watch any more of this lovey-dovey s**t, I’m going to be sick,” Miranda grumbled under her breath. They had filmed the hour long horse riding along with a stroll on the beach before their picnic. “I’m sure you guys can find your own way back?” She asked without waiting for a reply. They all got in a car and drove away. “Good riddance,” Sarah grumbled, causing Marcus to let out a deep sexy chuckle. Goddess, this man was going to be the death of her. Suddenly, an idea popped into her mind. “Are you sure this is a good idea?” Marcus asked, looking at her with hesitation. “You know I teach kids who are more fearless than you,” Sarah laughed. In her free time, she taught the pack children how to ride and take care of the horses. Sarah laughed when El Diablo kicked his back leg, causing Marcus to let out something that sounded a lot like a high-pitched scream. “But you rode him so fearlessly before. Not good, but fearless.” She chuckled. “That was because I was angry at you. And the film crew was around. I do have a reputation to uphold you know,” Marcus spoke, holding onto his horse tightly. Sarah walked up to the horse and held out a hand for Marcus. “Pull me up, I’ll teach you how I teach the kids.” Marcus quickly complied and Sarah took a seat in front of him. “Okay, now, grab the reigns.” Sarah placed her hands on top of his, showing him how to control the horse. “You need to show him whose boss. You can’t let him control you. Horses can feel your fear, you know,” she chuckled, “now, I’ll teach you how to move in rhythm with the horse.” She showed Marcus how to bring the horse to a light strut. “Okay, now, feel the rhythm. When the horse runs, you go up and down, up and down. Here, feel the rhythm.” She placed his hands on her hips, as she moved in sync with the beasts’ gallop. “Do you feel that?” she asked. “I do,” Marcus’ husky voice replied behind her. Sarah hadn’t noticed how intimate the gesture was until she felt his hot breath tickling her cheek. She turned to face him. The look she saw in his eyes made her breath hitch. “Like this?” he asked looking at her lips, the reigns still in his hands while they rested on her hips. “Yes,” she whispered. She could feel him slowing the horse down. “What now?” He asked. She knew it was a bad idea, but she couldn’t help herself as she captured his lips with hers. Marcus’ hand moved to her cheek, while one was still holding her. When their kiss got more heated, Marcus broke away. “Here, you hold the reigns. You’re going to show me how to move again, but this time, I’m going to make it more exciting,” He whispered. Sarah felt her insides tightening with anticipation. She spurred the horse on, urging him into a gallop, and when she lifted her hips, Marcus slipped a hand into her pants. Sarah gasped at the sensation. He didn’t hesitate and moved his hand into he panties as well. With each move of the horse, she felt him stroke her clit. Sarah was having trouble keeping her focus on the riding, but when Marcus slid a finger inside of her, she almost fell off. “Wow, steady there,” he breathed, snaking an arm around her abdomen. “You just lean back and relax, I’ll keep an eye out for the both of us.” Every time she moved her hips, she would take his finger deeper. After a few more moments, he added another while running circles over her clit with his thumb. “That’s it. You’re doing great,” Marcus whispered. “Faster,” she moaned, feeling her pending o****m. Marcus quickly complied, moving his fingers in and out of her at a ferocious pace. “Oh, Oh, Ooooooh,” She cried out, as her walls clenched around his digits. It was as if Marcus knew her body better than she did as he kept rolling slow steady circles on her c******s, prolonging her o****m until she felt completely spent. “We better head back.” Marcus chuckled. Sarah opened her eyes, still in a daze from the explosion of ecstasy that had just occurred. She noticed her own horse was a tiny dot in the distance. “Are you sure? I kind of feel bad that I’m not…. You know,” she flicked her eyes to his erection while biting her lip. “Watching you c*m is all the pleasure I need,” he reassured.
