“Grey?” Gena said as she entered their bedroom. She had been looking all over the house for her mate.
“Yes, my princess?” Greyson replied, poking his head out from the bathroom door.
“I was thinking….” Her voice trailed off as her eyes lingered over Greyson’s wet, naked chest. He had a towel wrapped around his waist and her eyes dipped down to the V that disappeared behind the towel.
“My eyes are up here, princess.” Greyson chuckled.
Gena shook her head and blinked, clearing the lust from her head as she locked eyes with Greyson.
“I want to go back to the pack.” She confessed.
Greyson’s eyes pulled together and he exited the bathroom.
“Are you sure?” He was holding back a smile, not wanting to persuade Gena one way or the other.
Over the last three months he’s really been missing his pack and his brother, but he would stay away for as long as Gena needed him to. Greyson put his hands on her hips and pulled her close to him.
“Yes, I’m sure. I’m ready. I know that you’re missing home and we can’t hide away forever. I want to go back.” Gena said, never breaking eye contact with Greyson.
She had thought a lot about her decision and was 100% sure about it. She was ready to start living her new life with her Beta mate.
“If you’re sure….” Greyson said,
“Yes, Grey, I’m sure.” She smiled, reaching up to kiss him quickly on the lips.
“When do you want to leave?” He asked.
“Tomorrow.” Gena said and Greyson’s eyes went wide. Gena laughed at his reaction and danced out of his grip, “I’m already packed.” She said, opening the closet and revealing her packed suitcase.
Greyson started laughing and shook his head.
“Alright, tomorrow it is then.”
*****
Two days later, Gena and Greyson were pulling up in front of Blood Moon’s packhouse. Evie and Noah were waiting for them on the front steps. Greyson grinned and quickly put the car into park, rushing out and towards his brother and sister-in-law.
“Greyson!” Evie grinned, moving as fast as she could down the steps.
“Careful, Evie!” Noah warned and that’s when Greyson noticed how swollen Evie’s stomach was now.
His Luna had just found out she was pregnant before he had left. No one knew exactly what a human-werewolf pregnancy would entail so Greyson wasn’t sure if there would be a baby when he returned home or not. He hurried to meet Evie on the steps and gave her a huge bear hug. He heard Noah laugh and then his brother joined the hug.
“Get up here, Gena!” Noah commanded and then Gena was being pulled into the hug as well.
“Look at you, Evie! You look ready to pop.” Greyson laughed, pulling away to look over the Luna.
“Soon enough. The doctor says that I’m measuring two months ahead so she thinks I’ll go until 7 months.” Evie explained, “I’m 3 months now but I feel like a balloon.”
“You look gorgeous, my love.” Noah said, kissing his mate’s cheek. She blushed and batted at him, shooing him away.
“How are you two?” Evie asked, observing as Greyson reached for Gena’s hand.
“Really good.” Greyson smiled, looking dreamingly at his mate. Evie inspected them closer and noticed that they were both marked.
“I can see that.” She teased them.
“I’m glad you two are here. We’re planning the wedding and Luna ceremony for two months from now. I was going to reach out and see if you would be able to make it home for it but then you called.” Noah said,
“You haven’t had the ceremony yet?” Greyson was shocked.
“We wanted to have both at the same time and Evie wanted to be ready. Overly ready.” Noah grumbled causing Greyson to laugh.
“Anyway,” Evie rolled her eyes at Noah, “We made some updates to the Beta suite for you two so Gena would feel comfortable up there. Greyson, you lived like a bachelor and that had to go.” Evie said, glaring at Greyson.
“Fair enough.” Greyson shrugged.
He knew he didn’t live in the most clean, organized space so he was completely fine with the Luna taking it upon herself to clean everything up for his mate’s benefit. In fact, he was more than grateful to her for it.
“You ready?” Greyson asked Gena who nodded, clinging to his hand.
She was ready but she was also more nervous than she’s felt in her whole life; it was a feeling she definitely wasn’t used to nor comfortable with. Greyson smiled comfortingly at his mate, trying to make her feel safe and at home here. He picked up their bags in his free hand and led her through the packhouse.
Greyson and Gena rode the elevator up to the third floor, which was home to the Beta and the Gamma families. As soon as they stepped out of the elevator, they were in a small entryway sitting area. There was a short hallway off the sitting area that led to two doors. On the right was a door labeled Gamma and on the left was a door with Beta written on the front. Both suites were exactly the same.
Greyson opened the door to the Beta wing and welcomed Gena into the main living space. It was set up similarly to the living area at the beach cottage in that it was one large space holding the living room and eat-in kitchen. The living room had an average sized blue sectional sofa with an ottoman that had storage inside of it. There were side tables with matching lamps and a TV console that matched the tables; an electric fireplace was contained within the console and a TV hung above it.
Greyson dropped their bags down on the sofa and moved them towards the kitchen. There was an island between the living room and kitchen with bar stools lined up on the one side. It was a farmhouse style kitchen with stamped concrete countertops, a blue backsplash, and white cabinets. In front of a large bay window was a six person kitchen table.
“This is like a full house.” Gena said in awe, looking around.
“That’s the idea. Nothing but the best.” Greyson grinned, “Come on, I’ll show you the bedrooms.”
Back through the living room, Greyson retrieved their bags and pointed to a hallway to the left of the living room,
“There are four bedrooms and two bathrooms that way, all of them are exactly the same. The master is this way.” He said, gesturing towards the right of the living room.
They walked down a short hallway which only had two doors. He kicked open the second door and revealed a large master bedroom. It was even bigger than their bedroom at the beach house but was set up similarly. There was a four piece bathroom with a huge walk in shower that had two shower heads and a soaking tub. Through the bathroom was a huge walk in closet. Greyson was surprised to see that both sides were filled up.
“I guess the home renovation included a shopping trip.” Greyson laughed, looking over at Gena’s side of the closet which was filled with brand new clothes.
“That wasn’t necessary.” Gena said, feeling embarrassed. Greyson chuckled and kissed her forehead,
“Evie likes to shop, don’t worry.”
Greyson left their suitcases in the closet and went back out to the hallway. He opened the second door and revealed a large laundry room.
“The staff in the packhouse does laundry, cleaning, and cooking but everything is here too in case you’re not comfortable with that.” Greyson explained.
“I don’t need a cleaning staff.” Gena scoffed.
“Yeah, I figured you would say something like that.” Greyson chuckled, “What do you think?” He asked once they had returned to the living room.
“I love it, Grey.” She smiled, wrapping her arms around his neck.
“It’s ours, my princess.” Greyson smiled, kissing Gena passionately.
Just as Greyson began to deepen the kiss, the door to their suite was thrown open.
“You’re back!” Sawyer, the Gamma of Blood Moon, shouted before running across the living room and tackling Greyson.
“Dude!” Greyson groaned, shoving Sawyer away, “What the hell is wrong with you?” He grumbled.
Gena laughed, earning Sawyer’s attention.
“Hey there princess.” Sawyer said, bowing playfully at her.
“No, no, only I’m allowed to call her that.” Greyson shook his head, wrapping his arm around Gena’s waist and tugging her possessively against his body. Sawyer started laughing,
“Yes, sir, Beta.” Sawyer said in a mocking tone, saluting Greyson.
“You’re an idiot.” Greyson rolled his eyes.
“I’m glad you two are back. Jack has been giving me a migraine since he was named as the acting Beta.” Sawyer said,
“Jack has been filling in for me?” Greyson’s eyes bugged out of his head.
“Yeah, Noah didn’t trust Jack to guard Evie so he kept me as Gamma. But, I’ve been taking on a lot of Beta duties too, to help out Jack.” Sawyer shrugged.
“Oh Goddess.” Greyson grumbled, pinching the bridge of his nose. He could only imagine what Jack has screwed up in the last three months.
Gena pat Greyson’s back,
“Good thing I told you to come back.” She said, totally taking all the credit.
“You wanted to come back? Thank you!” Sawyer hugged Gena, earning a growl from Greyson.
“Mine!” Greyson snarled, ripping Gena away from Sawyer.
Sawyer started laughing hysterically and Gena swatted at Greyson, annoyed by his possessiveness. It was something she hadn’t seen a lot of hiding away at the beach house. She was starting to worry about what being back at the pack and out in the open would do to him and Clyde.
“You need to relax, Beta.” Gena snapped, wiggling out of his grip.
“Yeah, relax Beta.” Sawyer said in a mocking tone.
Gena looked over at him and shook her head,
“You really are an idiot.” Gena said,
Greyson roared at Sawyer and lunged for him. Sawyer took off running with Greyson hot on his heels. Gena laughed at the pair as they barreled through the third floor of the packhouse.
