They were back in Naples they would then head to Florence on Sunday for the next competition they would just bake for bakery's there for week and then the real competition would start the falling week after, two group was disqualified from the last round. Abby saw Angelo, at the grill by himself, she hasn't yet talk to him yet so she looked around everybody were busy so she went towards him.
"Hey Abs" Angelo said
"Why didn't you tell me?" Abby said
"About what?" Angelo said.
"Don't play dumbass why didn't you tell me you were Demetri's brother? Or the fact that you didn't tell him about us?" Abby said
"Abby, I mean I promised Emma and Gloria tha-" Angelo was saying
"Emma and Gloria!" Abby yelled out.
Now Abby was pissed.
"So all three of you knew?" Abby said
She looked at him, his head was down. Abby scoffed out, three people watched her struggle raising her kids not even one of them said a word not even when Maria asked where her daddy was or when the boys had to calm her down because she kept crying. Everybody stop what they were doing and looked towards Angelo and Abby, Demetri was about to go but Gloria stop him and went towards them to see what was going on. Gloria saw Abby was glaring at Angelo and he had his head down.
"Abby?" Gloria called out
Abby looked at Gloria, her best friend since the day they shared cookies in kindergarten, she was more upset with her then Angelo or Emma because they told each everything no matter what.
"Tell each other everything seems like only one us follows it" Abby said
Gloria bite her lip she was about to open her mouth to speak up. Everybody was now going closer to them.
"You know what f**k you Gloria. Did it once accord to you that I don't know, telling me the truth? Or the fact that you were there when my little girl was crying for hours asking where her daddy was." Abby said
Abby was so mad that she had tears in her eyes, Gloria had tears coming down her face.
"Abby I was just trying-" Gloria said
"What protect me? When did I need your protection Gloria, we both grew up in Jersey almost the rough part of the town." Abby said
"It's not that I jus-" Gloria was saying
"What never going to tell me that you knew who and where the kids father was or were you going to take it to the grave. I get Emma and Angelo but you, Gloria you been there since I was five through thick in thin." Abby said
Abby was waiting for Gloria to speak, she didn't know everybody was around her.
"Il nonno porta i bambini dentro." Demetri said (Grandpa, take the kids inside)
Amato nodded his head, he went to get the kids as they went inside. Abby looked at Gloria she still hasn't spoke, Gloria didn't speak she could tell Abby was really mad and she didn't know how to explain it to her without telling her Demetri's family secret Petrov told her not to tell and let Demetri tell her himself. Abby waited for an answer but didn't, she made small chuckle and shook her head, she walk off, Gloria was about to take a step but Angelo held her arm she looked at him and he shook his head. Everybody watched at Abby went towards the beach.
"Darling" Valentina said
"I got it mother" Demetri said
Arthur went up to Gloria.
"Just give her time to cool off, and she'll want answer. Remember what I always told you girls" Arthur said
Gloria nodded her head, Arthur gave her a kiss on the head.
"Go freshen up" Arthur said to her.
Gloria nodded, Petrov went towards her but she slap his hand away as she went into the mansion herself.
"Abby!" Demetri yelled
Abby was in a daze walking, she couldn't help but cry, as she remembered of Maria crying.
-FLASH BACK-
"Baby what's wrong" Abby said
"Wh....Why.....Why don't.....I....I have a.....Daddy" Maria sob out
Abby felt sad looking at Maria's red face and puffy eyes.
"I....want......Daddy" Maria sob out again
She looked around the room, her father Gloria, and her parents were there.
"I....want.....Daddy" Maria cried again
The two boys came out of the room to see what was going on and saw that Maria was crying and they help her calm down.
"Maria, daddy has to work that's why he's not here" Hunter said
"Yeah, Maria daddy has to make money so he can buy you a castle" Lorenzo said
"Re...Really...he going....to buy....me....castle" Maria said threw her hiccup cry's
"Yeah so don't cry now" Hunter said
Maria still had her hiccup cry sound as she nodded her head, that night Abby cried as she held Maria in her arms, Maria eyes were red and puffy from crying.
-FLASHBACK ENDS-
"Abby" Demetri said
Abby wipe her tears, as she looked out towards the ocean.
"It was last year after the US bake off tour we came home, a week later I got home she was crying. Everybody tried stopping her we thought it was because the boys got after her but when I asked her why she was crying so much she asked why she didn't have a daddy" Abby said
Demetri stood there and listen he felt bad and sad he never want's to see Maria cry.
"She only stop when the boys told her that she does have a daddy and that he's working because he was going to buy her a castle. That night I lay beside her and cried too, hoping and wishing she wouldn't ask me again when she get's older and if I tell her the truth it would just break her heart" Abby said
"Don't worry Abby I'm here now, so you don't have to tell her" Demetri said
"I know, I just get sad thinking about that day. Also mad that Gloria didn't say anything even when she watched Maria cry" Abby said
Demetri, gave her a side hug they just stood there watching the waves.
