Abby was excited the nine contested were standing at their tables as the judges went around, they had to talk about what there cake is about, and Amato showed Abby the picture, and she asked if she could use them from him it was mainly picture of wedding from when Amato and his wife Aurora there wedding, and the celebration because Amato was top man back in Naples back at the time and it had pictures of Naples area.
"The cake came out beautiful" her father said
"I know, who knew that adding color would make the decorations look nice especially the pictures" Mark said
"I'm just glad we found some Ooze Tube for the ocean water" Abby said
The judges came to their table, as they spoke in Italian pointing at the cake.
"Can you please explain the cake" one said
"Well, as you said wedding theme and I asked my grandfather if I can use his wedding photos, and they also did the top is of him and his wife, how her grown is transfer into the ocean waves" Abby said
"It makes me feel like I am transfer back in time" one said
"We used brown sugar for the sand and the palm trees" Abby said
"Isn't a little darker" another said
"As you can see we found a candy as the water that blends well with the cake" Abby said
The cut themselves a piece of cake and tried it, they were impressed that everything blended out so well, they wrote down on the paper, and went onto the next table, Abby smiled to her father as he could give her a side hug. They were then told to go in the back while the judges decided on the winner, Abby got a text from Valentina that the kids were okay she didn't want to split them up the kids but Maria wanted to stay with Amato so making Valentina stay. The boys were with Antonio and Angelo, they were going to soccer matches, Angelo also texted her as well that they were okay and even sent pictures same with Valentina.
"Hey can I ask you something" Mark said.
"Yeah what's up?" Abby said
"Did I do something to Demetri for him to give me dirty looks?" Mark said
"I don't think so" Abby said
"Okay, just checking" Mark said
"How are you and Emma?" Abby asked
"Good, she agreed to be my girlfriend. I will met her family next week" Mark said
"So your flying back to Naples?" Abby said
"Yeah, or we might leave this weekend. So, I can stay with them for a week" Mark said
"Why didn't you just meet them when we were there?" Emma said
Before he can reply they were called back to the front, they stood in line they called the fifth place first.
"Because, I was working and couldn't met them" Mark whispered.
"Aren't you nervous?" Abby whispered back
"A bit, this is my first time meeting a girl's family" Mark said
"You met my dad before our date" Abby laughed
Mark chuckled and nodded his head, when he looked up Demetri was glaring at him so he stop smiling, Abby saw it and looked where he was looking but Demetri was smiling at her.
"Seriously what did I do to your boyfriend?" Mark whispered.
"He's not my boyfriend" Abby said
"Husband, boyfriend can you just tell him not to glare at me" Mark said
They were finally called up. They came in second after they were able to taste the other team's work and look at their work and when Abby went up to the people that go first they like the decoration, and the cake was also delicious as well.
"No wonder they got first" Mark said
"I know right" Abby said
"Sorry Abby but I'm join there team now" Mark joked
Abby laughed and shook her head.
"Hey you ready?" Demetri came up to them
"Yeah, I'll see you later Mark" Abby said
"Ight, I'm have some more" Mark said
Abby nodded and she left with Demetri they drove back to the villa they were staying in.
"The kids are having fun, did you get the pictures?" Abby said
"Yes, Maria been sleeping by grandpa since we left" Demetri said
Abby smiled and looked at him then back at the road, she then cleared her throat.
"Mark is going to meet Emma's parents next week" Abby said
She looked at him with his side eyes and saw him tighten his hands on the steering wheel, she turned to him.
"Does it upset you that I had a date with Mark" Abby asked
"No" Demetri said
"Really, then why are you gripping the steering wheel tight?" Abby asked
"My hands are sweating" Demetri said
"Are you sure?" Abby said
"Of course" Demetri said smiling at her
Abby nodded her head, and went back to looking at her phone, they were now had free time and she didn't know what to do.
"Well the kids all be back in Naples next week?" Abby said
"Yeah" Demetri said
"We should all go to the beach and have a family cook out" Abby said
"Sounds good, I'll send a family group chat" Demetri said
"We can leave tonight but I think my dad wants to go to the spa, I think I will join him and we can leave after" Abby said
"Okay, I have stuff to do so, I'll have my drive take you two" Demetri said
Abby nodded her head, when they got back her father was already there since he left early when they got the prize.
"Hey dad want to go to the spa. And well leave for Naples after, I want to have a family day with the kids at the beach and have a cook out" Abby said
"Alright, let me get some fresh clothes so I can change over there" Arthur said
Abby nodded, she too grab some clothes when they met at the door the driver was already there waiting for them.
