Chapter Twelve
Exactly like the night before, Johnnie was feeling blue when he met Susan at her place, but for different reasons. This time, he was not afraid for his life, but he had never been forthcoming to a woman, especially one that he had only known for a few days. Nevertheless, he would not change his decision: He would talk to his new girlfriend about everything, in the hope that she would understand. It was the first time in his life that he would do something bad for a good cause. For him, robbing a truck in order to acquire the necessary money that he and Sean needed was justifiable. Johnnie only hoped that Susan would see it that way.
He noticed something different, when she answered her front door that night. She was very relaxed and looked very happy indeed.
