Chapter Ten
In spite of their agreement, Johnnie and Susan were having so much fun that they did not leave the nightclub for another hour. They danced to a few more songs and enjoyed a few drinks. And, even though the singer had already embarrassed them once, they kissed again passionately at the end of two of their dances.
As far as dinner was concerned, he was open to suggestions. However, she soon made it clear to him that it did not matter to her, whether he took her to a fancy restaurant or a pizza place. In fact, Susan actually preferred to grab a quick bite to eat. Johnnie did not bother to ask her “why”. So, the two of them had dinner at a small, Italian restaurant, close to the club that they had just visited. A few minutes after midnight, they were on their way back to Cornwall
