Chapter Five
The short drive to Susan’s farmhouse gave Johnnie the necessary time to calm down. He had not regretted anything and neither would he. In his mind, a man who physically assaults a woman was not a real man. Such men could only be called “cowards” and should be dealt with harshly. The fact that Don was a federal agent did not matter to him. Johnnie would have done the exact same thing to anybody, regardless of the consequences.
“It’s a good thing that I wasn’t wearing my leather jacket tonight. It’s even better that I didn’t tell him about ‘Brothers of Fire’. Who knows what that prick would do if he found out. I’d better tell Brad and the others. The last thing we want is a fed breathing down our necks.”
