Chapter Four Johnnie later told Sean all about the fundraiser. Maintaining that he needed a change of pace, Sean agreed to attend it. Johnnie would have to face his past, but the idea of seeing Susan again felt too tempting. The early morning meeting had given him cause for concern. For some reason that he could not comprehend, Brad and Sean seemed too eager to go to war with “Los Lobos”. This was not like them; neither of them had ever suggested something as crazy as that in the past. Johnnie’s solution was quite simple and he couldn’t help but wonder why they didn’t give him their votes. “I don’t know if it’s crossed Sean’s mind, but I don’t want to discuss it with him right now. He’s got a lot in his plate. So do I. All I want to do tonight is have some fun. Club matters can wait.”
