The first article explained how the Blue Coyote Police Department had planned to infiltrate the inner city’s tormenting gangs, which included the Shots. Details of the plan were not shared with the article’s readers, but Officer Brice Dickles did say, “We have a responsibility to protect and serve our community. Each of us at our department has taken this oath, and I will personally see that it is carried forward regarding the gang issues in Blue Coyote.” The article suggested that more police were going to be hired in the near future, and that undercover work would be carried forth to break apart the gangs.
