Chapter 10: The Kitty Koch ShowKitty Koch woke Fargo up from a dead sleep. His cellphone was in commission again and buzzed on the nightstand next to his head and he immediately sat up, opened his eyes, and reached for the phone, knocking over the latest horror paperback by S. K. Epperson. The book went flying to the floor, as well as the cellphone, and Fargo had to climb out of bed in his groggy state to retrieve the tool. Once that was accomplished, he pressed a familiar button, held the phone up to his right ear, and said, “This is Fargo.”
Kitty Koch’s voice was similar to a squirrel caught in a trap. The high pitch she presented was temple-bursting. “Daniel Fargo, this is Kitty Koch from Channel 7, KTBC. I was hoping you have a minute to speak to me this morning.”
