Jake's POV
Monday
"Hurry up, Ash!" I shout from my car.
"Coming, bye mom," Ashley replies, rushing out and nearly tripping over her heels.
She hops in, the gates open, and I speed down the block.
At school, I find my friends waiting. Whatever happened with Dianne and Tyrell on Saturday seems forgotten.
"Morning, Jakey," Heidi greets, hugging me and linking her arm with mine.
"Morning, guys," Logan adds, and I glance at the girl in his arms.
"So, your rebound?" I ask.
"No, his new girlfriend who wouldn't cheat on him," Bianca interjects.
"I wouldn't bet on it," I say. "Hope you know what you're doing, buddy," I tell Logan as I pull away from Heidi.
