Reny stood watching them with tears in his eyes. He knew these two men had pretty much forgotten about him, but he’d seen it all. Heard it all. He knew now that if he stuck around he’d only mess up Ric’s life. The best he could do for him was to go back to Gangland and take his medicine. Without answering him, he turned around and ran.

“Reny!” Ric yelled, and ran after him, knocking his chair over as he bolted out of the suite. Just outside the door of Dumas’s office Ric caught up with Reny and grabbed him. “Where the hell do you think you’re going? Don’t let that stupid ass make you give up.”
