Joelle links us that Addi and Raleigh are missing from the safe room. Breaking my eyes away from the explosions and fires, I race around the packhouse. The safe room outside door is covered with a huge slab of concrete from the debris blast at the training center. I begin trailing my eyes around and spot Raleigh’s stroller about twenty feet away. I am sprinting there. My heart almost stops beating as I see the huge piece of metal crushing it. No please no, not my little man…..I swallow the threatening rage and tears to rush over lifting it in terror. He’s not there and I sag with relief for a minute. I see the council guard lying not too far from it. He’s alive but unconscious as I spot the red dart in his neck. I dare not sniff it.
