Cali’s P.O.V

I was making the plan to give them the bottle in my hands, but then my cell started to ring, distracting me. I looked at the number on the screen, but all it said was that it was an unknown caller. Who the hell could this be? I thought as I clicked to answer.

“Yeah, what's up and who's this?” I asked, answering the phone, but then I heard chuckling.

“Oh, is this the beauty that called me a few weeks back to have me take back what was mine? Well I brought her and now I want her back.” A man said, confusing me. I thought for a few minutes, trying to figure out what he was talking about and then it clicked with me. This was the bastard Alpha that hung up on me.

“Don’t you think it's a little too late to mark your territory, mutt. I have my own plan and if you even try to ruin it I will make sure that you die with your head cut off.” I replied, but he just started laughing again. Who the f**k does this guy think he is? First he was rude to me, then he hung up on me and now he wants me to help him. Seriously?

Alpha Billy’s P.O.V

Oh how I love it when they are feisty, it makes everything just so much more exciting, I thought, smirking and laughing.

“Oh don’t worry, little girl, because when I find her I’m going to come looking for you too. You will be locked in chains and tamed the right way when I get my hands on you, love muffin.” I said, laughing at the thought. She had no idea what world of hurt and pain awaited her now.

“Look here, Alpha Billy, don’t try coming into my world, you dumb ass hat because you might not like what will happen to you.” She replied and I hung up the phone laughing my head off. Oh I am going to have so much fun with these two, I thought and then called my trackers back into my office.

Richard’s (one of the trackers) P.O.V

After grabbing what we needed we had made it near the border of the territory when that i***t Alpha called us back. He was a waste of time as an Alpha and his Luna or rather ex Luna was just as bad. They both thought they were entitled, even though they had done nothing to earn it. We made it back to his office and Jenson never bothered to knock, instead he just walked right in and I followed.

“I have changed my mind, you still have two weeks to track her down, but if you don’t find her then you will be locked up or better yet, if you don’t find her then don’t come back at all. I want her back alive and in one piece, I have plans for her, big plans.” Alpha Billy said and we both nodded, then left his office for the second time today. Jenson and I rushed out of the office to find her and although he had no idea where to find her, I knew exactly where she was. There was no way in hell I was going to say a word, not after I saw what she went through when she was here. There was no way in hell I was going to put her through that again.

Three weeks later….

Richard’s (one of the trackers) P.O.V continued.

“Come on, we’re not giving up, we have to find her no matter what.” Jenson said and I just shrugged. It had been three weeks since we had been looking for her and I had kept my mouth shut on her location, but Jenson was determined to find her and said we weren’t going back until we did, so I guess we were never going back.

Cali’s P.O.V

It had been three weeks since I made the potion and the full moon was tonight, but a lot had changed and happened since then. I don’t know why but I kept getting a bad feeling about things happening around me, like it was some sort of omen or warning sign. I carried the wine to Adonis’s office and knocked on the door.

“Enter.” Adonis called out, so I went inside and handed him the wine straight away.

“This is for you and Liv. I made it myself and I wanted you two to be the first ones to try it, let me know what you think.” I said and then left him alone, looking baffled. I went back to my room, where my mate was waiting for me, but he had also changed. We no longer made love or even had s*x, he was just there and so was I when it came to our relationship, if you could call it that. I walked into my room, but was quickly grabbed and tossed into the corner of the room. I hit my head hard on the dresser, but when I looked up I saw that Adam was stalking towards me and he had a crazy angry look in his eyes.

“You’re taking too long to do this. I don’t want to be with you anymore, hell I never wanted to be with you. I’m tired of waiting. The only thing I ever wanted was the crown and to rule, but now I want you dead.” Adam said, revealing the truth to me, but there was something else going on with him as well. I tried to get up from the floor, but Adam pushed me back down.

“YOU HAVE WAITED TOO LONG TO GET THE CROWN FROM HER!! I WANT IT RIGHT NOW OR I’LL f*****g SLICE YOUR THROAT OPEN AND LET YOU BLEED OUT!!!” Adam shouted at me and lifted his foot, then started bringing it down fast. He was about to kick me in the ribs, but I grabbed his foot and swung it back, making him stumble backwards and fall. This was it, this was my chance to get up, but the hit I took to my head was making it a bit difficult. I managed to get up from the floor and took a few shaky steps towards the door. I grabbed the door handle and opened the door, but just as I was about to step out Adam grabbed me and pulled me back into the room, slamming the door shut behind us.

“NOOO!! ADAM!! NO, DON’T!!! STOP!!!” I screamed, trying to hit him.

Liv’s P.O.V

A few people came running to Adonis’s office, telling us that there was something wrong, some sort of commotion happening in Cali’s room. We quickly ran out of the office and towards Cali’s room, where we heard yelling and things breaking. Adonis grabbed the door handle, but it was locked. He started kicking the door and it finally came down, but when it fell we both saw Adam on top of Cali, repeatedly punching her in the face. Memories of everything that happened to me flashed before my eyes, but I managed to shake them off just as Adonis grabbed Adam by his head and dragged him off Cali, then threw him across the room. I looked at Adam and stalked towards him, pissed off that he would and could do this to another person, let alone a woman.

“What the f**k are you doing, man? You can’t hit women like that, you have no right.” I said, just as Cali was being helped up by Adonis. She was able to finally sit up, but blood was dripping down her face from the beating she had taken from Adam.

Cali’s P.O.V

Adam had snapped and hurt me, but I was surprised that the people that helped me were the two people that I was trying to hurt. Adonis and Liv. s**t, they already had the wine, I had to get it back from them before they drank it. I couldn’t do it, I couldn’t hurt them after they had saved my life, I thought as I coughed up blood. My whole body ached and I knew that I didn’t look so good right now, but I honestly didn’t care. I slowly and carefully got up with Adonis’s help and walked over to Adam.

“I, Cali Joel, reject you, Adam James Nike as my mate for life.” I said and felt the bond break between us as soon as I finished saying the words. He smirked at me and I felt my anger quickly rise up inside me, making me want to hurt him just as much as he had hurt me. I swung my leg as hard as I could and kicked him in the nose, pushing it up and into his brain, killing him instantly. Adam’s body fell forward and landed on the ground with a thud.

“May I speak with you both?” I asked, turning to face my king and queen. They both nodded and Liv walked over to me, helping me walk to the office. I was sore and beaten up all over, but that didn’t bother me. What bothered me, or more like astounded me, was how Liv was helping me and being kind to me. She had more reason than any to hate me and yet she was doing this. Liv helped me into the chair in front of Adonis’s desk and I tried to get as comfy as I could with how sore I felt.

“Listen, the wine I made, I need it back. I missed something, something really important and I need to make it right.” I said and both of them looked at each other, then back at her. Adonis grabbed the wine bottle from his desk and then looked at it before handing it back to me.

“Thanks, I’ll make sure it’s right before I give it back to you, it just needs a few more ingredients.” I said and they both nodded. This was one thing I was going to put right before it had happened.
