Liv’s P.O.V
I had already told Adonis about the worst thing that Alpha Ozzy had done to me, but now it was time for me to tell him about everything that Alpha Billy had done to me. It was the only way for him to understand exactly why I was the way I was and if he wanted to reject me then…then so be it.
“After I was told that Alpha Billy was my mate Alpha Ozzy made a comment and Alpha Billy punched him, knocking him out. I was shocked, but also happy that I had a mate that cared enough to defend me and then we left. He came out with all these rules that I would have to follow, but I told him there was no way that was happening. He laughed and then we got back to the pack house where things went from bad to worse in a matter of seconds. He made me clean and then introduced me to his real mate and the true Luna of his pack. I was gobsmacked and hurt, but I was also pissed off. Nothing mattered though because after that day it was just like I was living with Alpha Ozzy again, only ten times worse. Alpha Billy would torture me and beat me, but don’t get me wrong I would always hit back just as hard and sometimes he would stop and leave me alone, but other times he would beat me so bad that I wouldn’t be able to open my eyes, let alone fight back. I tried to escape many times, but each time he would find me and drag me back to the pack house, where he would beat me all over again. Alpha Billy would often drag me to one of his special rooms as he called them and he would torture me until I was close to death and then he would rape me. His mate and Luna would also join in and would come to my room at night, telling me that I was free to go. The first time it happened I was over the moon and quickly packed my things, then left, but it was all just a sick joke and game.” I said, remembering the first time it happened. Adonis squeezed my hand and I took a deep breath, before beginning again.
“Every time except the last time I would run out of the house all the way to the woods, but then Luna Ally and her friends would hunt me down. It would always end with them cornering me and then we would fight, but I was at a disadvantage against three she-wolves and they would win, then drag me back to the pack house. The last straw was when I was sleeping and Alpha Billy barged into my room in his wolf form, snapping his jaws at me. His mate was laughing at me and I just couldn’t deal with it anymore. I was bruised, bloodied, beaten and broken, that's the reason why I wanted to end things. After Alpha Billy and Luna Ally left I went up onto the roof and all I knew was that ending it would be the best thing for me and everyone. I had no one, no friends, no family, nothing. I was alone in this world and I just wanted to leave it. I had no fight left in me and I guess that’s exactly what they wanted, to have me broken and I was.” I said, feeling as tears started to sting my eyes.
Adonis’s P.O.V
I sat there listening to Liv, learning about how she lived her life and how she was treated, but the whole time my dragon Indigon was pacing back and forth in my head. Both he and I wanted to shift and fly to where this son of a b***h and Alpha Ozzy were, then torture them and set fire to everything they had. I was pissed off, but I still had to try and calm Indigon before he took over. I took a deep breath and then looked up into her beautiful dark blue eyes, but then I had to do a double take and look at her eyes again because they suddenly had a tint to them. Her eyes looked pink with gold and green around them, which could only mean one thing.
“Liv, are you alright?” I asked, knowing it was a stupid question after everything she had just told me, but I still had to ask.
“Yeah, I’m good. It's hard to talk about, but I’m guessing that you noticed my eyes. They change colour when I’m upset, but I’ll be okay.” Liv replied and I nodded.
“It might just be your dragon. I have an idea, just give me a second, okay?” I said and began talking to Indigon.
“Indigon, can you feel her? Can you talk to her?” I asked and it took him a few minutes to reply.
“Adonis, I can feel her and she has spoken to me, but she is pissed off. She has been listening to Liv and she’s not happy, but she’s trying to calm down so that she won’t shift right here and now. She knows that Liv isn’t ready for her just yet, so we need to have her train for a few days, maybe even a week. She needs to heal first and then she will get stronger. I can’t wait to see her, her voice is beautiful.” Indigon replied, sounding all dreamy over hearing his mate's voice and I nodded then came back to Liv.
“Honey, I was right and we are definitely going to have to start your training with my sisters because your dragon is here now and she’s been listening to you. She should be talking to you in the next few days or so, but we need to get your training started. I want to see what you already know and go from there. Alright.” I said, but she looked at me like I was crazy again
“Sure, so when do we start training?” Liv asked and I knew exactly what she was doing. I could tell straight away that she thought I was lying about her having a dragon. She seriously still thought that she was just a human when she was anything but. There was no point in arguing, so I decided to let her think what she wanted because in the end I would be proved right. After all the s**t she has been through I’m surprised that she has let me get this close to her, that she would trust me to know her story, but I knew she still didn’t fully trust me.
“Well, it's still early, so let go now.” I said, grabbing her hand and leading her out of the room. The door slid closed behind us again and we left the bedroom going straight to the elevator to the very top floor of the castle. Liv must have thought we were already on the top floor from the look of confusion on her face when I pressed the button, but she had no idea just how many secrets this castle held. When we got out of the elevator Liv looked around at the home gym, where there was a huge boxing ring in the middle of the room. She walked in there a bit further passing the punching bags and weight machines, before stopping and turning to face me. I got into the boxing ring and she followed me.
“Come on, I want you to show me what you got. I’m going to swing at you and I want you to block it.” I said, but just as I finished my sentence I heard my sister Rachel’s voice.
“No brother, let me train her. She’s already been put through so much, too much.” Rachel said and I nodded, knowing that she was right. If she sparred with me or trained with me then it could cause her to have flashbacks or panic attacks of what happened to her and that was the last thing I ever wanted.
“Liv, Rachel has the ability to read minds and she understands what you have been put through, she also has the ability to tell if a person has betrayed their family and we have banished many because of it.” I said, jumping out of the ring as Rachel stepped inside and I stood to the side watching.
Rachel’s P.O.V
I don’t know why, but something told me that I needed to be somewhere. I just didn’t know where until I got to the gym. I didn’t mean to read Liv’s mind, but sometimes my power does its own thing and channels people. I was shocked to see all the suffering she had been through. I saw what she went through with one Alpha and then I saw what happened with the other Alpha, then I saw as she climbed through the window and up onto the roof. I gasped when I saw her jump and after that everything went black, but I knew what happened because my brother told me how he caught her before she hit the ground. Liv wasn’t only my brother's mate, she was also our Luna and our Queen, but I know that she also thinks that we are lying about everything and is waiting for the other shoe to drop. There was no way she was just going to trust us, we needed to earn it, but for that to happen we had to be completely honest with her and by we I meant my brother when it came to his ex. I knew she was planning something, but every time I tried to read her mind she would turn and hurry away from me. That girl is evil, I can just feel it, but I will stay aware for a while and I will make sure that Liv is safe until she is stronger.
“Okay hun, I’m going to swing, but I don’t want you to just block it, I want you to do whatever it is you think you need to do.” I said and Liv nodded. She started to watch as I moved my feet and hands, then I swung at her and she lifted her arm, blocking me. I did the same move again, but this time Liv grabbed my arm and tossed me to the other side of the boxing ring.
“Good, again. This time I’m going to kick you and I want you to do what you did when I tried to hit you.” I said, walking back over to her. I swept my leg and tried to trip her, but she moved, so I did a swing kick. Liv caught my leg and swung it, then let me go causing me to hit the ground hard. I got up and brushed myself off.
“Damn girl, you did bloody great. Alright, this is going to be a tough week, which we’re going to call it hell week and it starts now. I know that you’re still healing, so I will take it easy on you and you can start off light. Today we’re going to do push ups, leg lifts, squats and sit ups. We need you strong, okay, so lets start. For the next two hours we are going to work-out. Let's start with sixty squats and I’ll do them with you. Are you ready?” I asked and Liv nodded, but Adonis gave me that ‘go easy on her look’, which made me roll my eyes. She was going to be shifting soon, so if going hard on her was the best way to get her ready then I was going to do it.
Liv’s P.O.V
For two whole hours Rachel trained me without letting up or giving me a single break. I felt like I was on fire, like my legs were burning and my arms were aching so much, but I still felt like I could go on, so we did. Instead of our work-out taking two hours, we ended it at the third hour. I was hot, sweaty and sore all over.
“Alright Luna, you did great today, but now you need a hot bath to relax those muscles. So run a hot bath and relax for at least thirty minutes, then get some rest, you’re going to need it because we’re doing this all again tomorrow.” Rachel said, then she looked over at Adonis and I could tell right away that they were linking each other.
Rachel’s P.O.V
“She did a wonderful job, but we still need to get her strong enough for her first shift. You also have bigger problems with that ex of yours, Cali. I don’t know what she’s up to, but I know that she’s planning something, so watch Liv. you will need to tell her about Cali sooner rather than later.” I said, mind-linking my brother as he helped Liv out of the ring. His eyes snapped to me as soon as I mentioned Cali and Liv in the same sentence, but then he left the gym and went back to their room. I listened in on my brother's mind, even though he had asked me not to and heard him talk to Liv.
“Go and relax, I’ll bring you something to eat.” Adonis said to Liv and then he blocked me out. I had no idea what he was going to do, but I hoped he would do something.
