I didn't go back to bed after my dream. I got up and deep cleaned my house to try and take my mind off of it but I couldn't seem to stop thinking about why I dreamt about that night. I got dressed and headed to work. When I got there Dara looked rough. I laughed and said rough night? She rolled her eyes and flipped me off. She told me she went to a party with this guy she has been talking to and drank way too much wereliquor and she felt like death. I laughed and said now you see why I don't party. I can only imagine what Skye would do if I was to go out and party. I shuttered at the thought because I can somewhat guess how she would act. Dara asked how my night was and I told her I let Skye out and we went to the pasture and I told her about the bear and the massive wolf that saved us. I then told her about my dream. I told her I didn't know why I was dreaming about the night they died.
"Georgia, you had a bear try to attack you. You could have died last night and that flipped a switch and that is probably why you were dreaming about the night your parents died."
“Yeah, I didn't think about it like that.”
After my shift at work, I headed to the flower shop to get a little bouquet for my parent's graves and the florist smiled at me. I said hello to her and she asked what my favorite flower was. I stood there confused for a moment but then figured it was going to be added to my bouquet. I smiled and said my favorite flower is hibiscus. She handed me my bouquet of Lillies and then handed me a single hibiscus. When I left, I went to see my parents. I sat there a little longer than I planned on doing but I felt like I needed to spend a few more minutes with them. When I left from visiting with my parents I went to the packhouse to see if I was needed for anything today. Beta Josiah decided he was going to put me on more days in the kitchen but I wasn't given a schedule. I asked Kingsleigh if she needed me and she told me to go do whatever I was wanting that she would need me tomorrow. I was thankful because I was exhausted from not getting much sleep. As I was walking out of the packhouse Skye started mumbling in my head and I asked if she cared to share what she was going on about. She said nope and blocked me out. I shook my head and headed home to make myself dinner and sit back with a good book. After dinner, I read for a few minutes then went and sat out back and watched as the sun slowly went down through the trees. I had a pretty view from my back porch and I loved sitting out here watching the sunset. As I was getting ready to head back inside, out of the corner of my eye I saw the same wolf who saved me from the bear running through the woodline. I wanted to follow it but I was scared to. I thought to myself what if it was a rogue wolf and I end up getting attacked or kidnapped? I watched until it was no longer in sight and I went back inside. I took a shower and got into bed. I picked up my book and began to finish the chapter I was on.
I woke up and looked at the clock it was 4 a.m. I had fallen asleep reading and the book was laying next to me on the bed. I sat up and put the book on the bedside table and turned my lamp off. I snuggled back up to my pillow and closed my eyes. I found myself in the field only I was in wolf form. We were drinking from the stream and looked up to see that wolf. Skye didn't put her guard up. She let out a low growl and even though I was yelling at her to turn and run she ignored me. The wolf was talking to Skye but I couldn't hear anything. Skye was walking toward it and I could sense she was aroused. I yelled but no response from her. The next thing I knew, Dara was shaking me yelling for me to wake up. I jumped and asked where the wolf was and she stared at me with a confused expression. I looked around and realized I was in bed. I looked at the time and saw I was an hour late for work. I jumped up and apologized to Dara as I was running around getting dressed. Once I was dressed I put my hair up and we headed to the bookstore. I asked Dara who was covering the store while he came to get me and she said she locked up and put a sign on the door that said be back soon.
When we got to the bookstore, There were 2 people standing outside the door. When I looked up, I noticed it was 2 people I could have dealt without seeing. Dara said excuse me and unlocked the door. When we walked inside, Beta Josiah and Gamma Tilden followed. Beta Josiah asked why the bookstore was closed and where we were. Dara kept her eyes down and said she came to check on me because I was late. I stared at both of them and said I over slept and she came to make sure I was ok. Beta Josiah told me if it happened again he was going to dock my pay. I rolled my eyes thinking he wasn't looking and I felt a stinging sensation begin in my cheek. I stared at Beta Josiah and then it registered what had just happened. He slapped me. I held my cheek and asked why he did that and he told me I was being punished for disrespect. Dara's face was red with anger but she held her tongue. I began to cry as the stinging intensified. Beta Josiah told me to be a good little she-wolf and stop disrespecting ranked members and I wouldn't get punished. I apologized for rolling my eyes and said I won't be late again Beta. He and Gamma Tilden both laughed as they knocked books off a shelf by the door as they walked out. Dara looked at me,
"You realize that they just screwed themselves royally right? They just vandalized the bookstore and assaulted yo
"Ok and? I don't have any proof of the assault Dara other than my cheek being red."
"Yes, you do Georgia. They were stupid enough to do it here in the bookstore and we have cameras inside and outside the store. You can have Alpha Brandon pull up the footage when you tell him at dinner."
"I'll think about it, Dara. I don't want to overwhelm him with everything at once during dinner."
"I can't wait for the wedding invite." She said while laughing.
"Who's wedding? I know you aren't implying Alpha Brandon and I are getting married because you know I can't stand his werewhore ass."
Dara burst out laughing and shook her head.
"Girl, When are you going to give it up and finally admit to yourself that you want to lick him like you are licking an ice cream cone? I mean hell I will full-on admit if I stood a chance with Alpha Brandon I'd eat his ass up every second of the day."
I was mid-sip of drinking my water when she said that and I sprayed it everywhere and began choking.
"You are one of the freakiest she-wolves I have ever known." I said after I was able to breath normal again.
