{Dara} Ever since that happened with Gamma Tilden, I have been avoiding areas of the packhouse I know he likes to go. When I finish my shift delivering Brandon's food, I go straight home or straight to Georgia's. I don't know if I want to face him after that. Yeah, I mean I would like to know what the hell happened, but I don't want to look stupid if I was the only one who felt the shock. Georgia has been trying to help me figure it out, but neither of us can find any records of other pack members experiencing it. I have been trying to apologize to Mackenna for the things I said when we fought about finding our mate but she is still blocking me out. As I was leaving the packhouse I saw Gamma Tilden walking toward the woods. I decided to wait until he was out of sight before walking home. When the coast was clear, I headed toward my house. The moon was hidden by the clouds, so there wasn't much light other than the few lamp posts we have in the courtyard. I passed the florist shop and turned down the alley that leads to my road. All of a sudden, I was pushed against the wall of the shop. I knew deep down something bad was going to happen. I couldn't see who it was because I was facing the wall, but I could smell wereliquor and I could hear low grunts. I just knew I was about to become a victim of assault. I struggled to get away but I couldn't push him off. "STOP MOVING B*TCH!" He says, but I don't recognize the voice. "Who are you and why are you doing this?" I asked. "SHUT UP B*TCH. I DIDN'T TELL YOU TO SPEAK." He yells. I could feel his breath on the back of my neck and I knew what was about to happen. I felt his hand slide down my side and it landed on my ass. I closed my eyes and tried to block it out and tears began to roll down my face. "Dara, call out for our mate." I heard Mackenna say. "Mackenna, I don't know who our mate is. How can I call out for him? I'm scared Mackenna." "Dara, open your eyes and scream as loud as you can. Our mate will hear us and he will come." She says. "Mackenna, I am scared to scream. What if he hurts me or worse, kills me?" "Just do it, Dara. If you don't, we are going to be violated and he will get away with it. Don't let him do that to us, Dara. She says. I took a breath and tried to calm myself without whoever was behind me knowing what I was about to do. I opened my eyes and stared straight at the wall and screamed for help. I managed to scream 3 times before he grabbed my hair and pulled it. He slung me to the ground and when I went to turn my head to see who it was, I was slapped hard. I shut my eyes and began to cry out. My cheek was burning and there was a ringing sound in my ears. I couldn't move or shift so I just waited for who it was to do what they were going to do. The next thing I know, I am being picked up and I can hear someone asking if I was OK? I guess I passed out from how hard I was slapped on top of the shock of what was happening to me. I opened my eyes and saw Gamma Tilden looking down at me. I tried to move but I realized he was carrying me toward the packhouse. I looked up at him and the next thing I knew I was waking up in the hospital. I looked around the room but I was alone. I sat up and right before I hit the call button for the nurse, the door opened and there stood Gamma Tilden. "Wh. What happened? Why am I in the hospital?" "You don't remember?" He asked and I shook my head. "You were attacked in the alley near your house last night." He says. "Did you catch the guy who tried to assault me?" "We did, but I can't disclose who it was at this time, Dara. Just know he is in custody and Alpha Brandon will see he is punished for his crime." He says. "Thank you. I understand Gamma. Thank you for coming to my rescue." "No need to thank me, Dara. I was just doing my job. The doctor will be in soon to talk to you. I am glad you are OK and I will be right outside if you need me." He says as he walks to the door. A few minutes later, the doctor comes in and asks me a few questions and says my exam was clear and I was fine. She said if I needed to speak to someone about what happened she could recommend someone for me to see. I thanked her and she told me she was going to get my discharge papers. Just as I came out of the bathroom from getting dressed, Georgia rushes into my room and grabs me, and starts sobbing. "Calm down babe. I'm fine." I say to her. "I was worried when I didn't hear from you last night and then I went to the bookstore this morning and you weren't there. Brandon came down and told me what happened. Are you sure you are OK? Did the doctor examine you?" She asks. "I'm fine Georgia. I was cleared a little while ago. I am just waiting for my discharge papers now." "Thankfully, Gamma Tilden was out walking when he heard you cry out for help. If he hadn't been close he wouldn't have known you were in trouble." She says. "Georgia, he wasn't close. I remember I saw him go into the woods to the south of the packhouse just before I began walking home, but I don't remember anything after the assault." After I was discharged, Brandon told me to stay with Georgia for a few days just to make sure I was OK. I agreed because I didn't want to be alone.
