I had just gotten back from my parents when there was a knock on my door. I opened it to find Brandon standing there. I let him in and when I closed the door I asked what was up.
"Tilden, you know with what happened with Josiah, I can't have a Beta running around assaulting she-wolves. Beta Jonas and I were talking a little while ago and since I can't give Josiah the title, He and I think it should go to you." Brandon says.
"Wait, what? You want me to be the Beta?"
"Yeah man. Beta Jonas and I think it should go to you since Josiah can't be given the title." He says.
"What about the Gamma title?"
"We will find a new Gamma a little later. I need to go ahead and name my Beta so Jonas can retire. Martha is about to go crazy waiting on his retirement." He says.
"Wow. I don't know what to say. I mean being named Gamma was a big deal to me and my family man and now I am going to be named Beta. My mom and dad are going to stroke out when they find out."
"Why don't you just wait until the title transfer and surprise them?" He says.
"Yeah, I could do that but I already know that if I do, my mom is going to beat me senseless for not telling her."
"Just tell her to come talk to me if she trys. I will tell her I told you to keep it a secret." He says.
"I guess I am going to have to get used to being called Beta now. I accept the title, bro."
"Good. I didn't want to have to beat you until gave in and said yes." He said and laughed.
"I had a chat with my Aunt Maebella and I told her about that thing with the Omega Dara."
"Ok. What did she say?" He asked.
"She told me she had heard of something like that. She said it was one of her friends when they were younger and it turned out that the electric feeling was due to her wolf not being present at the time she touched her mate. Bro, I think that is the same thing that is going on with me. I don't know why but I have a strong feeling that Dara may be my mate."
"Have you talked to her? If not then why don't you sit down with her and explain what happened that day and see if she felt anything." He says.
"I think I am going to do that, bro. I have to do something. I can't get her out of my head and I know if I don't talk to her, I am going to constantly wonder what happened and it is going to drive me insane. Now that I am going to be your Beta, I need to get my head straight so I can do my duties without distraction."
"Tilden, I am glad you are thinking more clearly. I didn't want to take the the measures I did with postponing the title ceremony but I was left with no choice. I see now, that me doing that did some good and got you thinking more like a ranked member instead of some h*o*r*n*y guy just looking to get laid. I am proud to have you as my right hand man. I would give Dara a few more days before you talk to her. I can tell she is still a little on edge with what happened. I will talk to Georgia and get her to talk to Dara about the two of you sitting down and talking." He says.
"Thanks, bro. I haven't seen you with anyone but have you had any luck on finding your mate yet or do you think you are just going to take a chosen mate?"
"I actually found her." He says.
"Hell yeah, bro. I am happy for you. When can we meet our new Luna?"
"Well, she hasn't actually accepted our bond yet. She heard about all the she-wolves and it put a hold on things for now. She and I have talked and she knows the truth and I think it's time I come clean with you as well. It was all a lie, bro. All the she-wolves that have been saying we slept together or oral was given, it's all a lie. I am still a virgin and I let those she-wolves say whatever they wanted to build my bad boy reputation. I wanted the image but that was it. I know I should of clean sooner but I didn't want to ruin my reputation at the time and once I found out who my mate was it got me thinking about everything. That's one reason why I started refusing to see she-wolves you and Josiah sent up to my room." He tells me as he rubs the back of his eck.
"Damn, Bro. I would have never guessed you were still a virgin. The way you used to talk about those she-wolves and the things I've heard from other she-wolves makes you out to be this big bad wolf in bed."
"Yeah, I know. I did talk to a lot of those she-wolves and got a lot of good ideas and information on what some of them like. Just preparing for when I do get to be with my mate." He says.
"Who is she man? You know I won't say anything."
"I would tell you, but she doesn't want anyone to know who she is right now. I want to give her the respect she deserves until she makes a decision on what she wants to do. I will tell you this about her, she is a very smart and beautiful woman and I know the pack is going to love her if she takes her place by my side." He says.
"Well, I'll respect that bro. I know if you are willing to admit to lying about getting laid then she must be a special woman. Most Alpha's could careless about their mates knowing who all they've slept with when they find them. I am happy you found her bro and I hope she decides to become Luna."
"Thanks Tilden. I hope Dara does turn out to be your mate, bro. She is a cool chick and you and her are so much alike that I could see her being your mate. I am going to go hit the sheets. I have a lot to do planning the ceremony to name you as my Beta. I'll let you know what day so you can tell your parents. Later, bro." He said as he walked to the door.
"Night, bro."
After he left I laid back on the bed and stared at the ceiling until I fell asleep.
