With a thud, I sprang up from my sleep, panting and gasping. I wiped my forehead, seat beads threatening to fall. It was a cold night. But now I was feeling extremely hot. Did I again travel through time and was back to my lab raging with fire after Helena started the arson? I looked around, the familiarity sinking in. Kai was deep asleep after our passionate night. A sigh of relief washed over me to see him beside me momentarily. I covered him up, trying to catch my breath. "Aah!" I groaned, pressing my head hard. My head pounded relentlessly, a heavy, dull ache that seemed to reverberate from my skull down to my very bones. I groaned, trying to get on my feet, but the throbbing behind them made it unbearable.
