What is Lelo doing here? His dad is a good fighter and he is a good asset for the pack so why is he here? Is it really true that they’re here to attack us? I can’t imagine how that would be possible. I know them and they don’t condemn violence, unlike their Alpha.
“How do you know each other?” Duke asked me.
I turned to him. “He’s from my old pack; he’s my best friend.”
“Best friend,” He repeated.
“Yes,” I said. “And I’m pretty sure that he isn’t a rogue or any attacker at that.”
“If that’s the case then why are you here?” Duke asked him.
I saw the pang of pain that came across Lelo’s face. What was that for? Did something happen back home?
