I look down, realize I'm holding two romance books in my hands and put them back before backing away, shaking my head. "No, I'm alright. Goodbye." I try to leave but Joshua just follows me to the entrance of the library. "Joshua, can you please stop following me?"
"I'm not following you. I'm just leaving at the same time you are."
"Find then. You can go first." I stop walking and stand away from the doors to let Joshua through. When he stops too and stares at me for a few seconds, I ask, "what?" in an irritated tone. I didn't mean to say it like that but, at this point, I'm mentally drained from being around him. I'm tired of being sad, heartbroken, and his voice makes it harder to move on.
And it's just a crush. How funny.
