Chapter 9 Lois took her seat in the living area on the plane, her heart thundering in her chest. The leather seats had a massage option but even the soothing vibration hadn’t calmed her. The man had been the size of a yellow school bus, and when he’d stepped out of the van, a black gun at his side, she’d worried that he’d shoot Dylan. The moment was etched in her brain and she couldn’t shake it off. Dylan sat next to her and placed a wine glass and some fruits in front of them. Security joined the pilots in the cockpit to give them privacy. The plane’s engine started and she winced. The worst part of flying was take-off and landing. She trembled at the mechanical sounds.
