(Flashback)
“You’re so quiet. You aren’t having second thoughts, are you?” I teased my mate as he stared off out into the scenery. We have been travelling for hours now. I had no idea where his pack was located, but it was nowhere near the airport we landed at.
The driver was a wolf shifter. I could sense him, although he was never introduced to me after we landed and transferred from the plane to the oversized SUV. I caught him looking back at me in curiosity a few times, but otherwise, no words were exchanged.
