I woke up to a kick aimed at my stomach.   Groaning, I lifted myself off the ground and saw Derek looming over me.   "Time to get up, doll. We've got a lot of ground to cover today." He kicked me in the stomach again and started to walk away. "I'm leaving and if you're not walking behind me there'll be hell." His voice was taunting and laced with malice.    I watched him walk a few more steps before reality set in and I lifted myself off the ground. It was painful to do and my body was stiff, but I had to follow him if I didn't want to get hurt more. As I was walking out of the cave my eyes were blinded from the sunlight.
