Hannah's POV
"Hey!", Someone said from behind me and I jumped in terror, spilling the coffee in my hand all over the kitchen floor.
"I just had a mini heart-attack, Zac.", I scolded, breathing heavily. "And it's 9 in the morning. What are you doing here?"
"I came here for breakfast beautiful. And don't tell me you are forgetting about our plan.", he asked.
"I'm not.", I commented and started preparing coffee for the second time.
"So what was his reaction last night?"
My mind went back to last night and my body started heating up. The way he held me, kissed me, the intensity in his voice, the warmth of his hands. What if Lucy hadn't disturbed us? We might have-
"Get your mind out of Narnia. Tell me, Was he jealous? Did he yell on you?", Zac's voice pulled me out of my thoughts.
"Umm.. I guess our plan worked.", I shrugged.
"Great, the i***t has no idea we went to cinema last night. He must be thinking we had a date in a cozy, romantic restaurant. Now it's the time for second step. Give me your lipstick."
"What?", I asked, dumbfounded.
"Don't question. Just give me the lipstick you are wearing right now."
Without arguing further, I brought the gloss from my room. Jackson was still sleeping on the couch.
Handing him my lipstick, I looked at him in confusion when he applied some of it on his cheek.
"What the hell are you doing? What if he sees it. He'd think I kissed you." I whispered in embarrassed.
"That's what we want, beautiful.", I looked at him in disbelief. His nickname made me cringe but I was used to it so made no attempt of stopping him.
"Now let's eat these french toast you've made and wait for him to come out."
It was after half an hour when Jackson came out, all dressed for his office. His face looked weary and his eyes were sunken. The tiresome look changed into anger when he noticed me and Zac cleaning the breakfast table.
His eyes hardened when it landed on the lipstick mark. He tightened his grip so hard that his knuckles turned white. Gulping, I greeted him good-morning which he returned with narrowing his eyes and stomped out of the house. I released the breath I didn't know I was holding.
"Mission successful.", Zac said excitedly.

"What the hell! Why don't I own a single hot dress?", I yelled at nobody, throwing all my clothes from the closet on the floor. I stopped when a photo laying in a corner of closet caught my attention.
The photo was crumpled. Straightening it, I looked at the most beautiful girl I have ever seen. Her eyes were her most striking feature. Her jet black hair, porcelain skin, straight nose and Rosy lips made her an exquisite beauty. Her face was laced with adoration, probably for the person who clicked this photo.
Who is this?
Suddenly a name came to my mind.
Emily?
Her face showed innocence and purity, her beauty was flawless. I thought I would hate Emily if I ever met her. But I couldn't hate the person in this pic. If her face was caked with makeup or she was wearing a tight dress, it would be easy for me to hate her. That's why Jackson could never love me. I was like a hippo compared to her. No wonder he never accepted me. But what happened that she had to leave. Oh my God! Did she die? Or did she cheated on him? What if she was in mafia? Or a werewolf? I mentally groaned at my imagination and kept the photo safe in my purse and continued my search for the dress.
Why?
Well, Zac said we had to go to the club Jackson goes every Saturday night for the third step of our plan. And that, I need a hot dress. But all I had was a bunch of crap.
Damn! When did I started using bad words. That's all because of Jackson.
There is only one way now. Picking up my phone, I called the only person who could help me.
"So now you remember your best friend.", Jane taunted.
"Jane please. I need you to find me a hot dress.", I pleaded.
"What is the event?"
"I had to go to a club with Zac."
"Am I missing something?", She inquired.
Sighing, I told her about our plan. She squealed in excitement and agreed to help me. She picked me up and took me to the mall.
***
"I can't walk anymore.", I said breathlessly.
It had been two hours since we we're searching for the perfect dress for her and me. She asked me if she could join me to club too and I happily agreed. She would provide me moral support because I had never been to a club before. I asked Zac and he said it would be fine if she came too.
"Hey look at this dress.", She said, showing me a plum low cut crop top and white mini skirt. The skirt was too short and the top was also very revealing. I shuddered in horror but I knew this dress would be perfect for this occasion.
After buying a black dress for her, we returned to my house. Wasting no time, we both got ready. Jane had straightened my curls and applied minimal makeup on my face. Wearing the heels I bought at the mall, I looked myself in the mirror and the girl in the mirror looked nothing like me. She looked hot and desirable, exact opposite of me.
It felt nice contrary to what I expected.
Jane looked even prettier as usual. Black was really her color. It highlighted her pale complexion and green eyes.
Maid informed us about Zac's arrival and we both made our way towards him. His eyes widened like saucer when he saw me and his Adam's apple bobbed up and down. Laughing at his expressions, I winked at him.
"Oh my God! Who did this to you? And where is our cute, little Hannah?", he teased and I pointed towards Jane.
He introduced himself to her in his usual flirty manner and my usually confident and flirt friend blushed in reply.
Great! That's a very rare sight.
His driver opened the door of his Merceded for us and Jane looked at it in awe. She always had a thing for cars. It took us half an hour to reach the club which looked like only billionaires could place a foot there. Zac nodded at the security guard and he let us in without further questions. The disgusting smell of alcohol filled my nose, making me want to throw up. Controlling the urge, I took further step.
So here goes nothing.
