4. Why he is here?

After breakfast, both Nora and Leo boarded Leo's car. As always, the children are sitting in the back seat. Nora was sitting in the passenger seat. She looked outside silently. Something is bothering her. Leo senses her discomfort, so he gazes at Ace through the center mirror with questioning eyes.

'Mother had the same nightmare again.' Ace tells him using his mind link.

Leo sighs helplessly and watches as she gently rubs the mark on her wrist. He knows what it means to rub her mark like this. She still remembers that same incident again.

Nora tried to kill herself by slitting her wrist several times that day. Leo got into time and saved her in time. But she still had a cut mark on her wrist. And it keeps reminding her of what happened to her four years ago.

Rubbing her scar means that she is in a bad state of mind, which is bad for her health. He needs to find a way to distract her.

"Hey, Nora-kids! How about going to the park tomorrow?" Leo suddenly asked aloud. He thought of how to distract Nora.

"Park? Why all of a sudden?" Nora asked, looking at him in surprise.

"Park-Park! I want to go to the park, Mom," Ace said, jumping excitedly on the back seat.

"Park-Park!!" both the girls said happily, shaking hands.

"Ace. don't jump like that; you 'll hurt yourself, boy," Nora shouted at him in concern.

"Sorry, Mom." Ace sat back and put on his seat belt.

"Now tell me why you suddenly asked about the park. What's going on in your mind?" Nora asked, turning to Leo.

"Oh, come on. It's for our comfort. You know, the whole last month, we both worked like hell. Especially you, Nora. You never took a day off. If you go on working like this we will be lying beside our patients soon. We need a break. You need a break. We need to clear our minds from our patients and hospital work. We are not machines. We need rest too. And the kids haven't gone out for fun, because of our busy schedule. They can't study or sit at home all the time. They also need fun. And more…." Leo started to tell them why they needed a day off.

“Okay! Take it easy, man. I just ask casually. And I know the kids should go out to play outside and see new things. Well, I want to take a vacation too. Good idea, Leo. Then tomorrow we'll all go to the park, okay, my kids?' Nora said, not giving Leo a chance to say anything further.

"Well… This is faster than I thought." Leo said in a surprised tone.

"Oh… Do you want a long conversation on this topic? I'm ready for it." She gave him a curious look.

"No-no!! No need for discussion. The last time we had a conversation about whether cream is good for kids or not. Two of my patients were left dying because of our discussion. So we don't need to have a long conversation. To save my patients, the park is okay for me, okay! Tomorrow we're going to the park, okay kids?" Leo said in a panic tone and asked the kids.

"Yeah! We'll go to the park!!" Ace clapped happily.

"Park!! Park!!" Both the girls also said happily while clapping brightly.

"Okay. So it's a deal." Nora chuckled happily.

After that, they dropped the kids off from school and went to the hospital. After parking their car in the parking lot, they went inside the hospital together.

"Good morning Dr. Nora. Dr. Leo." The receptionist greeted him with a soft smile.

"Good morning, Cara." Nora signed on to the entry book.

Leo also signs Cara's big smile, but his eyes fall on Nora's duty schedule. He was shocked to see Nora's plan of duties. He wanted to ask Nora about her duty. But he can't because there are too many people walking around. He didn't want to argue in front of people. So he keeps his mouth shut and follows Nora back.

After signing, he goes to Nora's cabin. Nora put on the white doctor's cloak and began to check the list of her patients.

"Nora, are you ready to be on duty tonight? Why do you take night duty all of a sudden?" Finally, Leo asked her in a serious tone.

"Yeah." Nora nodded without looking at him.

"Why? Didn't you know how risky it is? Tonight is a full moon night, Nora. What if you had a panic attack? I can't put your life in danger." Leo asked confusedly.

Nora is still writing to the file usually.

"Nora! Answer me!" Leo asked her angrily. Because he didn't want to lose her again.

Nora closes her file and looks at him. She seems calmer than ever.

"I can't always hide from my fear, can I? Leo, I want to stop running from my fear. He rejected me, and then we never saw each other for the last four years. I didn't see him anywhere, not even feel it. My heart is already broken. So now it doesn't matter to me that he turned me down for someone else. I don't feel anything. So where is he now? Or what is he doing? I don't care about that. And if I had a panic attack, I had my pills with me. So don't worry." She showed her a small bottle.

“Oh, Goddess! Will you stop taking those damn pills? They are making you weak. Do you know what Dr. D'souza says? These pills not only calm you down from your condition but also damage your body. "What if Ace and Abby-Gabby demanded more brother and sister?" Leo asked curiously.

"Then I'll adopt a baby, or we'll give birth here," Nora said casually.

"Here? What do you mean by here? Wait a minute! You said we? What does that mean? Can you explain to me, Dr. Nora Morris?" he asked in confusion.

"The meaning is obvious, Dr. Leo. ' we' means you and I will give birth to a baby here. Is your IQ this low, Dr. Leo? I don't know how you became a surgeon with this low IQ. Tell me the truth! You cheated on paper, didn't you?" Nora said in fun.

"Hey. I gave the paper, honestly. I'm a good and true surgeon like you." Leon said confidently.

"Then you know we do test-tube babies in our hospital?" Nora asked him.

"Oh! Test tube baby, yes we do. Wait, so you're talking about that process?" He understood and nodded his head.

"Yeah." Nora nodded.

"But you'll need a sperm donor for that, right?" Leon asked for information.

"There is one guy who could be my donor." Nora smiles mysteriously.

"Who is that lucky man?" Leo asked quickly. He was very restless.

"You," Nora said, pointing her finger at him.

"I..?" Leo asked for confirmation by turning his finger towards him.

"Yeah, baby, it's you. You will be my donor. I'm definitely sure you will give me a handsome baby like you." She smiled devilishly.

"Oh no!" Leo opened his eyes in shock.

"You're my friend, won't you help me with this? Won't you give me your sperm? You are my best friend, no?" Nora asked with puppy eyes.

"No!! Nora. I won't give you my sperm. We're just friends. We wouldn't do anything like that. No, it's impossible." Leo said in a panic.

His face turned white at the mere thought. He stared at Nora as if he saw a ghost. He put one hand on his pants to protect himself like Nora would take his sperm any time.

"I thought the same way. It's up to you, to make sure my kids won't ask another child. It's your responsibility. If they ask for a baby, you will never get a chance to protect your sperm. That's what you will do, right?" Nora playfully wrinkled him.

"I will-will! I will protect my sperm and make sure kids won't ask for more babies. I swear to the Moon Goddess!" The Leo node is in a hurry.

"Good boy! Now go back to your cabin. Your patients are waiting for you." Nora smiled teasingly.

"Nora…." Leo began to say something.

"Dr. Leo… Call for you." The announcement interrupted them to stop their conversation there.

"Aish! We're not over yet." Leo said seriously, pointing his finger at her.

"See you later, Doctor Leo." Nora playfully waved her hand towards him.

"Okay. But I'm staying here too. To keep my eyes on you." Leo said with a serious face.

"And who's going to take care of my kids at home?" Nora asked in a worried tone.

"Mom will take care of the kids. She's missing Ace and the girls. I'll call her. So don't worry about the kids." Leo said before leaving her cabin.

"Tell your mom not to spoil my kids too much," Nora shouted at him.

"I can't promise that because she won't stop doing that," Leo yelled at her back.

Nora laughs to herself and turns her mind back to her work. She worked till midnight and checked on his patients.

"Dr. Nora, there is an emergency case." Junior Doctor enters Nora's cabin and says that in a hurry

"Emergency case? This time?" Nora looks at her watch. It is one o'clock at night.

"Yeah. It's an emergency. Please, hurry up." Said the junior doctor in a worried tone.

"Okay. Come on." Nora got up from her seat and ran into the operating room with the doctor.

As Nora enters the operation room. The man lying on the operating table. He has several serious injuries all over his body. He had been shot in the chest. The other two nurses were cleaning his wounds.

"What's the condition of the patient?" Nora asked, wearing an operation gown and mask.

"The patient's condition was very critical, Dr. Nora. There are some bones that are broken, and there are two bullets in the chest. We have to perform surgery." The junior doctor says in a hurry,

"The bullet is very close to the heart. Prepared for operation." Nora said and stood up close to the table.

"Okay. Doctor." said the nurse and went out

"You will help me with this." Nora began to tell the junior doctor.

Same time Leo walks in fully prepared.

"I hope. I'm not late." Leo jokingly.

"Not at all! The patient was waiting for you when Doctor Leo would come and save him from dying." Nora chuckled.

"Yeah! That's me! Now Dr. Leo is here, don't be afraid. The patients will never die." Leo laughs and tightens his collar.

"Okay! Dr. Leo, shall we start now??" Nora said and turned to the patient.

She sees the many wounds on his body. Especially her eyes descending on the wound on his chest. She put her hand on the chest to see how deep his injury was.

"Ah." He groaned in pain. There was a slight rumble in his voice.

Nora's hand froze in her place as she heard a familiar voice. She raised her eyes for the first time and saw the patient's face. His face, covered in blood, was unrecognizable. But Nora still recognized him. She had never forgotten that face for the past four years. Where she stands today is because of him.

He is the reason!

The pain, hurt, and depression she feels over the past four years are all because of him.

She thought that he would never come again in her life. But now HE is in front of her on the operation table.

He is here to open a four-year-old wound on her broken heart again.
