In VIP Room

Nora walks inside the VIP room with Nurse. Her eyes land on Carter laying on the bed and Miya who is sitting in front of him. She was holding his hand. Her eyes were full of love as she stared at Carter. Seeing them so close Nora’s heart hurt. She looks at the other side and takes a deep breath to calm down.

After she feels calm she walks to the side table. The nurse followed her back. Nora checks the medicine and begins to tell the Nurse about the injection. She keeps her voice low so they won't disturb.

"Show this report to Dr. Leo. I'm leaving for today. He is in charge from here… Give him a call when you need it." Nora said in a calm and low voice.

"Ok, Doctor..." The nurse takes the file and walks out to give the file to Leo.

Nora began to get ready for an injection quietly. She wants this to happen quickly so can leave the hospital.

"Doctor, what is your name?" Suddenly Miya's voice makes her uncomfortable. She didn't want to talk to her right now, but she can't run out from here.

"Dr. Morris. " Nora put the effect on her voice that won't get recognized. She feels safe because her face hides from seeing through masks.

" Morris… Your name sounds familiar to me," Miya said in a low voice. She now gets up from her seat and walks to Nota. Her voice sounds sad.

" Well, as I know we have never met before… So there is no way my name sounds familiar to you..." Nora tries to not look so harshly. She walked to Carter's other side to give him an injection.

"No… Not like that… One of my friends has the same name as you… Nora Morris. She was my best friend when we were in college. We study together, hang out together and spend most of our time together. Carter is also with us. Carter means my husband. He is also our friend. We three were best friends, you know... I miss her..." Miya sighs sadly.

" Where is she now? " Nora held her anger inside and asked.

" She dies in accidents..." Miya said sadly.

" Oh…" Nora's mind went blank by her words.

She never expected this answer from her. Why is she lying? She was alive and Miya said that she was dead. What lier friends she gets.

Nora feels her mind going to blast if she talks with her anymore. If she stays here she can't hold herself from slapping Miya for talking nonsense.

First, because of her, she gets rejected and now she says that she died in an accident. How can she destroy her existence in this world like that? Why is she acting so cruel to her?

Nora wants to run away from there, her heart now starting more hurting than before. She looked down at the injection in her hand. She has to do her duty as a Doctor. She avoids looking at both of them and turns to his hand. Pays attention to her work.

" When did that accident happen?" Nora asks to know if she got a useless answer from her.

" Four years ago...But I miss her… She is only my friend… Very close to me..." Miya continues to look sad.

Nora wants to scroll her but she controls herself. She holds Carter's arms to inject the syringe. Suddenly, a strong spark flowed in her body. Her vision gets buried and her mind becomes dizzy. The same sensations run in her body. Her wolf howled lightly. Like she woke up just by his touch. Nora keeps trying to control how she feels about their mate's band. But ignoring everything she bit her tongue to keep herself in reality. She looks at Miya if she notices the difference in her. But Miya already standing close to the window. Her back was facing Nora. Nora knows Miya hates injections. She is scared of injections. Seeing her walk away Nora sighed in relief. Now she gets some space to breathe. She takes a breath and injects the injection in his arms.

" Ugh, Ah..." Carter's growled low painful tone.

Suddenly Carter opens his eyes. When he feels pain in his arms. His eyes follow the slim hand holding his arms. His eyes see women who were giving him an injection. His eyes darkened and his nose got up as he sniffed Nora's scents. After feeling similar sent his eyebrows to curse in confusion.

" Mate...Mine! " his wolf growled inside him.

Carter's eyes widened in shock. He feels his anger shift in pleasure when he feels her hand touch him. Because of the mask, he didn't recognize her.

Who is she? She is my Mate, but why Now? The question makes him more confused. She was his Mate and this is the main reason for him to get shocked.

" Mate…" One strong word left from his mouth. He cursed his wolf because his wolf made him say those words out.

Nora froze in her place when she heard those words. her eyes turned up to him. Seeing his eyes on her with mixed feelings. Nora steps back from him in panic.

" What happened Doctor? Oh...Carter...You are awake..." Miya asked when she heard his voice. She ran to Carter with full surprise. Her face looks happy.

Now Carter's eyes turned to Miya and his eyes softened a bit. But his eyes never stayed with her any longer because his eyes shifted in darker and looked around for Nora.

Nora already finds a chance to leave the room. So run to the door and open it to step out. She was two-step closer to getting out of the room.

"Stop. There. Mate." Carter's voice was loud and clear. He was trying to get out of bed.

"Carter, don't get up… You are injured. " Miya grabbed his arms to stop him.

"Let. Me. Go..." Carter growled in warning. His eyes sifted in the dark.

"You... You are not mine Carter… You are… His wolf..." Miya said, and stepped back from him in fear.

"Yes, I'm his wolf… Now get out from my Singed," he growled and got out of the bed. He growled in pain he felt in his wounds.

Miya steps aside from him. Staring at him with scared eyes. Nora holds a door open, but a big palm grabs her arm and pulls her back into the room. Nora tries to get free from his grief, but he pinned her to the wall and held her tightly, so she couldn't escape from him.

"Late me go..." She said as she struggled to get free.

"You can't run away from me Mate... Stop struggling..." He growled against her ears. Showing that he is in charge here.

' Mate ' hearing those words again from him makes her look up at him. His eyes are dark, the same as they get when he calls her Mate for the first time four years ago. She feels frozen on the spot. His words rang in her head.

She started having a panic attack. But she shakes her head and closes her eyes to forget about him.

' He is not here...this is a dream...' She murmured to herself.

Suddenly she feels a hot breath on her neck. She opened her eyes and got shocked. His face was so close to her. His brown hair was touching her cheeks as he sniffed her neck. Her scent made him calm down, he sucked and licked her neck to mark his Mate. knowing that he was thinking of marking her. She tries to push him back.

"Ah..." his face filled with pain.

Nora's eyes widen in fear as she sees her hand on the wounds on his chest.

"Sorry... Sorry...you were injured. Please, go back to your bed. You are injured. " Nora said in a panic.

"Hmmm… Worried about me, my Love? " He chuckles softly and kisses her hair.

"I'm a Doctor… And you ate my patient... That's why I'm worried about you… Don't think about anything else." Before she finishes her words she feels shivers run in her body because he kisses her on the neck.

"You are my Mate… You know this right? " He said, adding more kisses on her neck to shoulder.

"Mmm… No... I'm not… Mmm..." She bit her bottom lips to hold her moan.

"I can't hear your voice… Let me take this out..." He removed the masks to see her face.

"You! Nora Morris! Why is it you again? "Carter's eyes widened in shock, he stepped back from her in panic. His eyes shift back in blue. Carter takes control over his wolf. He struggled back from her in weakness.

She steps forward to help him. But his words hurt her already. She fell on her knees.

"Don't come any closer..." He pointed her finger.

Nora's hand stops in the middle. She feels hurt knowing that he still hates her. She sticks to the wall looking down at the floor. Her body getting weaker she can feel her vision getting dark close to unconscious.

Nora wanted to run but her weak body never respond to her.

' Bang! ' Suddenly the door opened. Leo and Beta Jax ran inside. Miya with them. She is one run out and called Beta Jax.

"Nora… it's you…" She hears one gap from Miya.

"Jax.." Carter looks at Beta for help.

"Alpha…" Beta Jax runs to him and holds in time. He helps Carter back to bed. Suddenly he heard Leo's words.

"Nora…" Leo holds her in time for fall.

Hearing Leo's voice she looked up to him with painful and tearful eyes.

"take... Me home... Leo..." She hardly said in a broken voice.

"Right away my Princess… Come… We are going home..." Leo whispers into her ears in a sweet tone.

Suddenly two low growls come from another side of the room. Leo picked Noro up in his arms and turned to two aggressive wolves. Staring at his killing expression.

"Beta Jax, you better take care of your Alpha. He recently had surgery… Make sure he gets a rest. Don't waste our work on him... And one more thing tells him to not bother my Wife. I'll not tolerate that if it's happening again. I'm taking my wife home... Someone else will be here to treat his wounds." Leo said loud and clear.

"Wife?! " Those words make both of them shocked and speechless.

Leo walks straight out of the room. Leaving two angry and shocked wolves behind.
