As time went on and Michelle aged, her designation never emerged. Traumas came and went between physical injuries and anxiety that continued to build over Murnar’s involvement. The more she stood up to him the more her awareness heightened. And while her designation’s label never showed through, that terrible voice inside ruined her time and again for leaving Alpha Beach in the first place.
Interviews came and went especially after yet another incident that she knowingly engaged in to save another. It branded her stunt as a call for attention. Just as soon as it was out, it was covered up. Several of her sponsors stepped away, unable to compete with the rage on social media about it, saying that they couldn’t take the hit that would inevitably come along with supporting their surfer.
