Alyssa pov
All I could do was sit here in my hotel room and look up at the walls. It feels so quiet here. I was used to people talking, people rushing all around to get things clean. I knew I needed to think about this. I did tell him that I would stay for three years until the contract was up. I didn't want anything from him. I came with nothing. I will leave with nothing. I still was not sure if I wanted to go back tomorrow. I might just stay away for a few days to clear my head. All I was doing was working out. and then boom he was so angry he didn't know what he was doing. I know he had read the book. I know he knows about Sapphire now. But what does he want to do? Does he want to go after her? Does he want to go after the guard or does he want to make a plan, I don't know. I don't know anything because of what he has done. He went after the wrong person. Mariah was still whimpering. She was crying because all she wants is her mate. I want my mate as well. but that was not my mate. He made it loud and clear that I was not his mate. His mate died many years ago. I was not his mate. again he had rejected me. but yet I am calm about this. Tomorrow whoever I am fighting will pay. I will take my anger out on them. But then I could lose the fight. f**k i dont know what i want to do. my emotions are all over the place. I know what I plan on doing when I get done with the fight. I am planning to look for Sapphire and bring her down. I will not make it easy for him. We have a contract. three years. it doesn't mean i have to be in his bed. I will live downstairs away from him. If the Elders ever come. I will pretend to be the happy queen. that is if I decide to go back. He will learn what he has done. I knew I had to hide my scent. I want to make sure he won't be able to find me until I am ready to be found. like i said. I'm not going to make this easy for him. I finally got up and ran my hot bath. I sat in the tub and soaked, washed my body and got out. I wasn't very comfortable in a small tub like that. But Atleast I was clean. I laid in bed. I wasn't even sure I could sleep. But later that night. I guess I slept because I started having weird dreams. I thought it was a dream until I was on a fighting mat and I was looking back at this beautiful woman that had long dark hair, brown eyes and was wearing a long gown. I thought this was the moon goddess, boy I was wrong.
“Are you the moon goddess?”
“NO. But I am soon to be training to be a moon goddess. I think we need to talk Alyssa.” I c****d my head and c****d an eyebrow. “Then who are you if you're not the moon goddess?”
“I am Kathrine, Listen before you say no. just listen to me okay. and then you can make any decision you want to make.” I sighed, I really didn't want to talk to her, she still hunts Jaden, she still holds his heart. there is no way in hell i am going to fight over him with a f*****g ghost. But I am curious about what she had to say.
“Alright, fine. What do you have to say to me? since you still hunt him. and i am compared to you every f*****g waking moment.”
“I deserve that. I know I do. I'm sorry I wasn’t ready to let go. I was jealous of you. You get to fight, you get to train. and look at what I get to do. I get to train to be a moon goddess. I can't wait to start to learn. Listen. Jaden is suffering for what he has done to you. He was so enraged. that all he was seeing was his anger. You don't have to forgive him right this second. but please forgive him soon.” He is yours Alyssa. I won't be bothering him anymore. but you need to get Sapphire.if you don't. She will continue to do what she does best. and that is trouble and drama. she will be getting the rogue king to try to kill you.”
Oh I plan on getting her and the bastard that helped her. but it doesn't mean I have to forgive him, Kathrine. I am not weak. I am strong minded. I have my schooling. I am street smart, only because I had to be, He has rejected me for the second time because of you. you can hunt him. or not hunt him. you can even have him die so you can have him in the after life. I am not fighting over him with a ghost. I am done. So Kathrine, I don't know why you think you can come to me and talk to me. I have read your letters. and read your books like you had asked me to. So my mission is finished. so if you excuse me. I need to get back. I know you mean well Kathrine. but i think I am done. I know there is a second chance mate for me out there somewhere. Jaden is all yours sweetheart.” I heard her sigh. as she held my hand so I could tell she was telling me the truth.
‘Alyssa for the last time. I do not want Jaden. I saw that he was happy. I got a little jealous. But I know he loves you. give him that second chance. He will show you. and trust me he will. I am letting him go. but i will ask you to get Sapphire.I hunt her dreams. scaring the hell out of her. but it's just all fun and games. I need to go Selena, the top moon goddess is calling me back. She only gave me a few minutes. He loves you Alyssa. remember that.”
I was back in my bed. I didn't want to think about what had just happened, I needed my sleep for tomorrow.
Kathrine pov
I tried talking to her. now it's up to her now. I made my way back to Selena. She was waiting for me with a smile.
‘Did you talk to her?”
‘Yes Selena i did. But I don't think she is ready. But I know I need to let him go or he will never move on. Are you sure I have to go and tell him goodbye?”
“Yes Kathrine. I will give you thirty minutes to talk to him like I gave you with Alyssa. if you touch him in any way. the deal is off. I will clean his mind from you. so he will be happy with Alyssa. he will think that she was his first mate. If he touches you, I will give him and you that. but you can not touch him first, is that clear?”
‘Yes Selena. I am ready to go to him now. It's going to be weird because all I've been doing is watching him. but I'm ready to let go.
Jaden pov
It was a long drive but we finally made it to a hotel. I was exhausted. We rented a room with two beds. I took a shower and put on sweatpants and a shirt. By the time she got out of the shower I was already in bed. I was so tired, and Shadow was still pissed at me, he would not talk to me at all. I didn't even know that she turned off the lights and went to her own bed to sleep. I was out like a light. I started dreaming. I was at the river that me and Alyssa laid by when we shifted to go on a run. I was sitting on this log when a huge bright light came into view. f*****g great. its the moon goddess shes coming to b***h me out, this is just f*****g great. The moon goddess is coming to yell at me for being an ass hole. Well here I am at my river peacefully with the moon goddess. But when she finally appeared to me. It wasn't the moon goddess, it was Kathrine. I was shocked that my mouth dropped open. What did she want? I never thought I would ever see her again. I would love to touch her to pull her to me to hold her just once. But she moved away from me. But why?
"Why did you come to me if I could not hold you in my arms?"
"Because I am here to tell you what a douchebag you are. Do you realize what you lost for doing that to her? I practically gave her to you. And you screwed up. Yes I know that I should have told you what I knew instead of writing everything down. But you did worse, Jaden. Instead of talking with her you grabbed her and hurt her. Do you even have a plan when you find her? You better plead for her forgiveness. She is a strong warrior. Do you know her father was a warrior in the kingdom until her mother had rogues kill him. Do you realize she is planning to do the same to Alyssa? Do you know the rogue king wants to kill Janice so you will have nothing. You are so into finding out who killed me that you don't know what's going on around you. I'm telling you Jaden, get your head out of your ass before it's too late. I have spoken to Alyssa. I honestly don't know what she is going to do. But I hope for your sake she forgives you. My time is up. I have to go. Jaden. I will always love you. But it's time to let me go. I know it's hard, it's going to be hard. But you have Alyssa now. Until we meet again my love goodbye."
And with that. She was gone from my life again. I knew she was right. I had to let her go. I was so busy trying to find who killed her that I didn't see what was going on around me. It's time to get.my life back on track.that's starting with dear old elder joseph. I'll need to make a phone call when Janice isn't around. He is going to get a ear full from
