chapter 39

Jaden pov

How could she think that I do not love her? I do love her with everything I am. I wanted out. I wanted to tell her. But Shadow kept listening to her. He didn't want me to talk he thought i would f**k up everything. She agreed to come home just not in my bed. I was angry. I ordered Shadow to let me out but he laughed, and told me to shut up and listen to her. it was the only way he would let me come back. I listened to everything. I listened to what she had to say. It was me that came out slightly and kissed her. But Shadow took me back inside so she would not notice, I didn't want her slapping him for it, but she didn't think anything about it, she stood up saying she wanted to come home. I Knew she wanted to find Sapphire. Yeah I did too. I wanted answers. and I will get them, Then I will have to find the guard. I needed to look at that book again. I needed to know his name. and where the f**k was Sapphire. We will find her. and I will let Alyssa handle her. if i get to her, i would kill her without asking any questions at all. I will handle the bastard that betrayed me and the kingdom. But right now all I wanted to do is hold Alyssa. I want to tell her in my own words I do love her. But will she believe me? I just don't know. When she got up and opened the door. Janice was there about to knock on the door. she placed her hand down smirking looking from me to Alyssa. but then she c****d an eyebrow. knowing it was actually Shadow that took control. Now she's going to give me s**t because I can't handle my own business.

Janice pov

This was taking far too long in there. I even had an offer to do a fight, so I said s**t why not. This could be fun. I really didn't know what to do. The guy said that the other girl didn't show up. so I could take her place and if i won i would win the money. so I said alright then let's do this. I got on this blood stain mat and stood there until the other girl came out. She stood about 5.7, had short dark hair, hazel eyes and was a little built. I never think anything can be easy because then it could go to a whole different level. The ref came on the mat and raised his hand up.

“The rules are. there are no rules you win how you know how to win. Are you ready ladies, we both nodded yes. he walked off the mat and said, lets get it on let's fight”

the girl ran at me swinging like hell on wheels. her arms were turning like she was crazy. I stood there watching her like she was crazy. Then she stopped smirking and punched me right in the face. oh so she wanted to play games. I felt blood running down my nose. I nodded at her, I did a swing kick kicking her on her ass. did a side kick kicking her in her face she went flat on her face as she was trying to put her nose back in place, she stood back up and kicked me on my side, i wenched when i felt one of my ribs break. I held onto my side until Amy my lycan healed me.

“Can we just kick her ass now and get it over with, she bores me Janice.” I wanted to laugh but i didn't, i knew how Amy was, she gets bored easy when it's not a good fight, So i flip over her did a roundhouse kick to her back she fell i got on her back and elbowed her head, knocking her out, The ref came on the mat and raised my hand. he asked what my name was, I told him Janice.

“And the winner is Janice. go sign the paperwork and collect your money,” So that's what I did. I got thirty grand for that fight, damn I might do this again, So now I was standing here at Alyssa's locker room door about to knock when the door suddenly opened. I looked from Alyssa to my brother smirking, Then i looked again. This was not my brother, this was Shadow. Shaking my head. I knew something was going on. Amy told me that Shadow wanted to speak with Alyssa. that Jaden would just f**k it all up and make Alyssa step futher away,” i should had known he would. I rolled my eyes at Shadow. and said.

“Alright guys, can we go home now? I waited out here for so damn long that they even asked if I wanted to fight, I won thirty grand. Alyssa now I know why you do this. It's the sport of fighting. you can let your anger out and you get cash when you win.” she smirked at me and said. “You get money if you lose. but not as much when you lose. I’m ready to get out of here and go home. and get what needs to be done. Sapphire will be found, she turns to Shadow kissing his cheek. and said thank you. But can you let Jaden out now? I think it's time for me and him to have a talk now.” he smirked and told her,

“if he pisses you off and says the wrong thing. I am coming back out. He will not push you away from us. This is our home together Alyssa. Mine, yours, his, Janice and Jan. I want you to know I love you and Mariah. and believe it or not Jaden does as well. He is screaming to come out so he can talk to you. So if he pisses you off, just say my name and i will be here okay,” She nodded yes, and then he was gone back inside and let Jaden come out, the first thing he did when he was back. he grabbed Alyssa and held her tight in his arms, he was saying over and over again how sorry he was, that he wasn't thinking and that is not excuse on how he treated her, he kissed her passionately, i had to clear my throat i did not want to watch them make out,

“Hey guys, can we go now. I mean we're still in the building, you know.” Alyssa laughed. as we walked out to our cars. Jaden told me to just drive his truck. He will ride with Alyssa, I nodded. I always wanted to drive his truck. but he never let me. He was always worried I would wreck the damn thing, we already had our bags in the truck so we weren't going back to the hotel, we were heading home and I couldn't wait to get back in my own bed. Sleeping in the same room with my brother with his loud snoring kept me up most of the night.

Jaden pov

This was hard listening to Shadow talk to Alyssa and Alyssa talk to him, it was like they had known each other for years. When he finally let me out. I grabbed onto my mate and held her tightly in my arms, I told her how sorry I was that I hurt her. I wasn't thinking, but that was still no excuse for what I had done. I kissed her soft and long and the only reason why we broke the kiss was my damn sister clearing her throat.

“Janice take my truck. I am riding with Alyssa, and please do not wreck my truck.” She rolled her eyes. I always say not to wreck it because it gets on her nerves, I knew she wouldn't. I got into Alyssa's Jeep, and noticed her bags in the back. good we don't have to go back to an awful hotel. that bed killed my back. I couldn't wait to get back home to my own bed. I held her hand as we sped off, I wanted to say so much to her. I was about to talk but then she started speaking to me first.

“Jaden, I want you to know I am sticking with the contract. I know we have three years together, in those three years we need to make the most of it. we need to find Sapphire and we need to find that guard. Now. I know you may never love me like you had loved Kathrine. she was the love of your life, I know you and her were together hundreds of years before the rogue king came along. but you need to know. I am not her. I will never be her. I do not do the things she did when she was here, I do everything different. I train, I know how to fight, and I speak my mind. and when I love I love hard with all my heart, mind and soul. I do have feelings for you Jaden. I don't know what they are right now. But I do have feelings for you. But if you ever lay your hands on me again I will personally kick your ass. I might live out my life in the dungeons afterwards. but it will be worth it. When we get home I will not sleep in your bed, I will go back to my room, I think for right now it's for the best.” damn. I couldn't even get mad about this. I knew she had all the right to say what she said. she was still pissed at me, and i had to understand. I sat there listening to her. until she was done. Then it was my turn. to speak to her, but I'm not so sure she will believe me.

‘Just tell her how you feel numbnuts, if you do not tell her. then how the hell will she know how you feel about her. grow some balls Jaden.” I growled at my lycan, and told him to shut the f**k up. i got bigger balls than he had ever known.” he started laughing at me, i knew he was the actual king, But so am i. if it wasn't for me. then he would be scaring all the f*****g humans around here, I had to take a deep breath. I was just as strong as he was. but I knew he was right. if i didn't tell her then how else will she know.
