Gabi pov
I was with Alec at the moment. We are here hunting for our meal, we don't eat like other vampires do. we don't feed off humans, we feed off animals, it took awhile for him to get used to it, but it feels us up. and we don't have to feed everyday. We can feed every two days, plus we have blood bags we can use if we do not want to go out. Carla had her baby boy eighteen years ago. and he is the next alpha in line. He trains every single day, she named him Chris. a strong name for a strong alpha, i knew something or someone has been watching us for awhile now, so had Alec, he says he's not friendly and wants to be the vampire king, like he is, but he will have to fight til death. the guys has not came to us just yet, he just been watching us, my guess he's going to get a few hunters to try and kill him, if that doesn't work he will come forward with other rogue vampires to try and kill him, but you can never trust a rogue vampire they can either turn against you or they could run away while the others fight. it's always been that way, we were full after a few deer, we just drink and then we let them go. We were heading back home when I saw Carla she was done with her fight. I told Alec I would meet him back home. He kissed me and took off in a blur. I went over to where Carla was, she knew I was coming over so she waited for me to come over to her.
“Hey lady. Did you win the fight?” She shook her head no.
“No, it was a tie, this girl was powerful, it seemed she was watching my every move, but that's fine. I made a new friend but I feel sorry for her, I hope she's going to be okay.”
“Well. What's going on? Did she get hurt? Do we need to go and kick someone's ass? She started laughing. She knew I would go and kick someone's ass if we needed to.
“No. She has to do this on her own, she has a royal mating ball to go to. the lycan king wants to find his mate." Then she told me everything that was said to her. my eyes were huge by the time she was done. This son of a b***h told her not to say a word about them being mates. now he wants to find her to reject her.
“Don’t go there. she wants to deal with this on her own. she said when she is done getting rejected and goes through the pain of rejection she will come and visit us. so you must stay out of it, if you interfere with this it might be dangerous. they are lycans they are much stronger, so we must be careful okay.” i didn't like it one bit, we knew lycans can be stronger than us but noone has the right to call on someone just to be rejected,
‘Fine, I will stay out of it. but he better not hurt her.” I hugged my friend goodbye and told her I will be over tomorrow. She hugged me back before I left. i needed to get to Alec i knew he was worried since that other one is out there, but before i could reach the house he appeared to me,
“My queen please do not be scared. My name is Acri. I am the rightful king. He killed my brother. I will have my throne, and I will take over the vampire world. I have been watching both of you, I can not believe he makes you feed on the animals around here. When I become king you will be able to do what you please, I promise you. you will be safe with me mysterious love. go to him now, reject him now before it's too late.” he left me standing there shocked, Alec killed his brother and now he wants his rightful place, i ran the rest of the way i was there in no time at all. Alec was waiting he could tell something was wrong, i ran right into his arms,
‘What is it Gabi, what happened? Tell me why you are shivering.” I told him that Acri had said to me he hissed wanting to know where he stopped me at, i had told him he took my hand and rushed back to the spot where he was gone, he yelled only loud enough were vampires could only hear,
“Look you son of a b***h. If you ever touch my mate again I will kill you. you want to challenge me, tell me where and when you ass hole, i will be there, but you won't be winning, you will be loosing,” we rushed back to the castle he held me in his arms,
“if that fucker ever lays a hand on you, he better hope he runs as far as he can because i will f*****g kill that mother fucker. Come on, let's go get some rest, we had a long night tonight. We went into the castle to rest, i was still worried this man looked like he could kill anyone, but I also know that Alec was strong as well.
Alyssa pov
I almost spit my water out when she said her brother is now waiting to be seen. Holy crap. Did this woman know about me? Does she know we are mates? Is that the reason why she came up to me and talked to me? I took a deep breath and started looking around. I needed to find a way out, if she knows then he knows. And I am in some deep s**t, I need to get out of here, I should have never come here.
“Will you calm down? She does not know, like i said i made sure he couldn't tell we were here, i covered our scent, he will only know when we are close. so calm down before you have a nervous breakdown,” I took a few deep breaths to calm down. as the first group of women lined up to go inside to meet the king,
Jaden pov
I was sitting on this damn hard throne that felt like forever, i played on my phone for a few hours, and then walked around the throne room, i was thinking about jumping out the window and be free from doing this s**t, but Shadow stopped me,
“don’t you do it. She is here and I can feel that she is. just calm down. We do have three years left, you know. so calm down, we need her so if you leave. then we won't ever find her Jaden,” I knew he was right but this is getting annoying and a big pain in my ass. when my sister mindlinked me and told me that it had begun. I went over to my chair and sat back down to play with my phone until the girls came into the room. I heard the door open so i placed my phone down and waited for them to come into the room, i was tapping my fingers on the arms of the chair because I was getting annoyed with this. Then they started coming into the room. one by one i heard there annoying heels on their shoes clicking on the floor and then they were here one by one they were lined up, i sighed as i waved the first one forward, i waved her on they started walking up hoping they were my mate, these women were looking like clowns too much makeup or perfume. I was starting to get a headache from the strong perfume they had on. one girl had the nerve to sit on my lap,
“my king, do you like what you see?” i growled and told her to get her clown face off of me,” she huffed and stormed out of the room, finally the last of the group was done, i told my sister to bring in the next clowns she started laughing as i heard the door open once again.
Alyssa pov
I was sitting there watching all the women go into the room. they either came out angry and cursing or came out crying, there were many girls left and i was thankful for that. because it gave me time to think and calm down. alright we where the last table, we all looked at each other, when the lady came back on stage
“guys, I know you are the last ones, just give my brother a few minutes to himself, and i will let you inside” I drank some water down because my throat was starting to get dry, Mariah growled,
“one of the girls tried to stab the king because he didn't want her, he is taking her to the cells, give him a few minutes.”
“Now how did you know this?” i heard her laugh, then she told me how she knew she talked to one of the guards lycans,” it took almost an hour when he returned to the throne room, the woman told us to line up, i was getting scared, and i was thinking the other ladies were as well, they didn't want to be there, they wanted to find their mates on their own but there parents told them they had to come because it was an order from the Royals, so they had to be here. we lined up at the door, i made sure i was the last in line. I wasn't sure if Mariah was still hiding my scent or not. She wouldn't answer me now. well she better when we walk into that room or i am running out of here. that's all i had to say because she started talking.
