chapter 26

Alyssa pov

I was sitting on my bed looking at the notebook, why would she want me to find this. Should I look at what's inside or should I read the letter first, I took the letter out of the notebook and placed both on the bed. I wasn't sure what I was doing but I just went with it, I closed my eyes. Whatever my hand lands on I will read first. I closed my eyes, counted to three and moved my hand in a circle and placed it down. I opened my eyes and saw that my hand landed on the letter first. There are just too many letters to read these days. but i'll read it, i opened the letter up and began to read. I really hope this is the last one. but if it's not then i guess i will have to read that one as well, it's like she is leaving me clues on what happened and what will happened, So i read the letter she did say that i must read it alone, so I didn't tell Jaden that I found it, She trusted me with this.

Alyssa,

By now you probably had found this letter and you are reading it, Listen to me and listen good, there are two spies that are in the castle, i know one of them is Sapphire. Watch what you say around her. she will go and get you in trouble. That's the reason why Jaden and I argue so much because of her. the other I still could not figure out. I know she is the reason why the rogue king is after his throne. Do not say anything to Jaden just yet, let her tangle herself in her own web, If you knew things like I did. then you would be in danger as well. In that note book are notes that I took on everything. the time Sapphire would leave and come back. you must watch your back. You see Alyssa. the moon goddess had let me see the future with the two of you. I know he can be a big ass hole. but do not let that get to you okay. I know you will make your choice soon. if your choice is to leave when the years are up. just leave but warning he will look for you. I know him all too well Alyssa. he is probably already starting to fall for you. Let's get back to the problem shall we. If and when you find the second spy make sure you do not tell a soul about it, that was my mistake. never tell anyone in this castle that you know what is going on. do not play stupid though. just do not tell anyone. learn to train and learn to fight as fast as you can. I must go before he walks into the room. take care of yourself Alyssa. everything you need to know is in that notebook.

I felt like she was trying to push me toward Jaden, but the more she pushes the more I want to distance myself. I know he loved her and still does. How can a man that loves someone so much can learn how to love again? Or can love me? yeah we have awesome s*x. he looks at me like he cares for me, but I just don’t know. I told him I would help him. and I will. but at the end. I really do not know what I will do until the three years are up. I placed the letter down and opened the notebook. It had Sapphire's name in it, who she talks to and the times she left and came back. She also has little notes in there for Jaden. Those i skipped on by. There was one more note for me and I was really getting tired of reading, but I guess I will read this one and that's it, this woman did a lot of letter writing.

"Alyssa, by now you would have gotten this far. if you've gotten this far. then you will go the length of this book. just be strong"

There was so much in this book that I couldn't read it all at this second. I put it in a safe place then walked out of the room. I was getting hungry so I went to the kitchen and cooked me and Jaden something to eat. I mindlinked him and told him dinner was ready

Jaden pov

I was starting to wonder where Alyssa was. I was wanting to spend some time with her before she left tomorrow to go on this so called friends visit. I know she has not been unfaithful because i would had felt it. i wondered what she does when she goes with these friends. she had yet invited me. I will ask her about it tomorrow when she gets back. I would rather not get into an argument. I was just about done with the paperwork. I had one more file left to do. It was something to do with rogues attacking a pack that I will have to go and settle and see where the rogues were coming inside. They had a fence up but they were still inside. An electric fence will be better. So I ordered one for them and it will be there in a few days. I called them to let them know that I will be there to help with the fence. i hung up and sat down just as Alyssa mindlinked me telling me dinner was done. i didn’t have to be told twice i was hungry. I hurried to the dining room and sat down at the head of the table. i was thinking that she should be sitting as well and letting the cook's place the plates down and the drinks but my drink and hers were already on the table. It was her that was bringing out the food. This lady was wonderful. when she placed my plate down. I looked at it. It was meatball subs smothered with cheese and sauce. She made three for me. she placed hers down. She only had two. smothers in mushrooms and cheese. that looked better than mine. But I was hungry and she did cook this meal when she really didn’t have to. She sat down in the chair beside me. And smiled

“ I hope you like it. It took a while for the meatballs to get done. I made them myself. I don't like the bagged meatballs. I know it takes awhile to make them. but they taste so good when you're done with them.”

"I am sure I will love them honey. Come on let's eat i'm starving.'' She laughed at me when I took a bite and almost ate the whole thing. It was so hot that I almost dropped it to grab my sweet tea. I swallowed it down with one gulp because it was so hot. she started laughing harder.

“Have you ever heard of letting it cool down before you eat?” I smirked , licking my lips.

“Well. I did hear about that once or twice. But I just could not help it. it looks so good that I just needed to have a bite." she smirked as she bit down on mine. it was so good that she swore that she let out a moan. She looked over at Jaden and he was looking right at her. She knew they hadn't done anything for some time now. she was just trying to give him time to think and to distance herself, if she was to fall for this man. she could only just get hurt. She was just being careful that's all. She looked into his eyes and she wanted him to know this. but she also had to leave in the morning to go fight. damn it she thought.

‘When I get back from spending time with my friends. I want us to spend some time together, we haven't had much time for a few weeks now. So tomorrow I will be back early and we can do whatever you want to do.”

“That will be nice. but how about this. The day after tomorrow we need to go to a pack that is being attacked by rogues. So I ordered this electric fence. It should be there in a few days. I want you to go with me so we can spend some time together. we could leave from there and go have dinner and a movie if you want and then go home." She thought about it for a few minutes. her eyes lit up knowing she will be able to get out of this castle and not have to sneak out to do what she needs to get out,

“I would love to. but I don't have to wear one of those gowns or dresses, do I?" I chuckled and told her no.

“No. You don't have to do that. but you will need to wear some baggy jeans or shorts because we will be helping them put up the fence,” she nodded.

“Well I am queen, I should be there to help you and help them.” I felt so much pride when she had said this. Maybe she will stay after the three years are up.
