Jaden pov
Well this isn't any good at all. Why did I slip up like that? Now she wants to know everything. I really f****d up. And I don't have a clue where this woman is. I sat back down after I calmed down. Shadow was growling and he kept telling me "I should have kept her and marked her." I looked at my sister and she was pissed and glaring at me.
"Alright. I will tell you. Just stop glaring at me, it looks like you're about to rip my head off."
"I just might if you don't tell me what happened." So I started telling her. "Do you remember when I went out with my friends to the Lycan nightclub?” She nodded and said yes.
"Alright well she wasn't there just yet. We were shooting pool and having fun. I was trying to get my mind off of things. When I smelled this scent. Shadow was pacing back and forth and wouldn't tell me anything. But the scent got stronger. I saw her. Janice. I saw her walk into the club laughing and smiling with friends. I told my bud I would be right back. So I hid from her. I watched her for a while but Shadow came out and growled. But noone paid no mind to it. Because we could find our mates in the strangest places.
Well like I said shadow took over and followed her to the bathroom. Kicking the door in. She turned around scared. So I had to force myself through again. When she realized I was the king she bowed her head. I made her look at me. I needed to just look into her eyes just once. I got angry. Told her if she ever told anyone that we were mates. I would banish her from the kingdom. Before she could say anything I stormed out of there and came home. You know how I was when I ran inside and slammed the door. I had to fight with all my power to keep Shadow from going back and claiming her. I was not ready Janice, I'm still not but now I have no choice in the matter to find her." When I stopped talking she let loose on me. I knew she would. She was pissed.
"Are you f*****g out of your mind? You rejected your mate Jaden."
"Hold on. I did not reject her. I only said… "
"Shut the hell up! That's the same thing as in rejecting. Do you realize what you have done? We don't even know we're or how to start looking for her. Thank the goddess I thought about the royal ball. This girl probably thinks we invited her so you could reject her. You better hope to the moon goddess that she comes. Do you know where she works or where she lives? Do you even know her f*****g name Jaden?"
"No I don't. I know I shouldn't had done that Janice. But I didn't want a mate at the time, I will never forget the look in her eyes when I left her there. But we need her. we need to find her. have her understand what's what's going on After the elders leave us alone, I will set her free so she can do what she wants. I will even draw up a contract for her. But she will have to do what she is told. she will need to meet everyone so they can get use to her.”
“Well my brother you got a lot on your hands, all i am doing is the decoration of the royal hall, and doing the food i already sent the invites, and everyone will be here in two days, so that is up to you.
Alyssa pov.
It had been a hard two days. I had to stay in that old run down wearhouse, I had several fights, I won three but lost two, I remember that one. The ref came into the middle and held his hands up.
“The rules are. there are no rules you fight until you win.” he leaves the mat and he says begin, i was already tired but i knew i needed to get this one done so i could head home and rest and train for the next few fights. Right after he said Begin. she punched me right in the jaw breaking it. i knew everyone heard the crunch when her fist landed on my jaw. i had to snap it back in place. It was on. I ended up laying a few punches breaking her nose a few times, i broke her arm. and i sent her flying off the mate with a roundhouse kick. then landed on her leg breaking it, but how she won, i didn't even see it coming, i was trying to win and didnt think of watching out for her other leg, she kicked me right in the head as hard as she could knocking me out, they said it took ten minutes for them to wake me back up. I really didn't care if I lost, sometimes I won, sometimes I lost, I still won some money, this time I won twenty grand because i won three fights, If i won all five it would had been thirty grand, I got in my jeep throwing my duffle bag in the back sit, and drove home, it only took thirty minutes, i had a few days to rest train and go back to take on another fight, this one would be in the morning so i could relax the rest of the day, I got home pulled into the drive way, turned off the car and got out. I tossed my duffle bag over my shoulder and started walking up the walkway, I noticed something on the door. Who the hell would tape something on a door for crying out loud, anyone heard of a mailbox? Geesh, I walked up to the door. I took the envelope down. I looked on the back, and saw the familiar symbole of the royals, it was a lycan with crown on its head, f**k did he find out where i lived? what the hell was going on? i went into my house and closed the door, i needed a shower so i went to take a long hot shower, dried off and got dressed, went to my kitchen and poured me a glass of brandy, I set down on the couch to relax, I really didn’t want to read what was inside that envelope, but i knew i needed to, i took it from the coffee table and opened it up to finally read it,
You are invited to the royal mating ball in two days, So the king can find his mate. There will be food and wine and dancing if you like. if you are not there that night we will be knocking on your door to ask you why you didn’t show up.” it was signed
the royals, f**k what the hell am i going to do, is he inviting me so he could reject me, is he inviting me so he could toss me out of the kingdom, what the hell how the hell did he find me? What is really going on? Do I really want to go to this thing, f**k it. I’ll go. its okay if he rejects me, i plan on leaving anyway
